If I dont have WolfQuest 2.7 and only an older version, will is still install as an update?
No, the Anniversary Edition update is only being released as a free update to anyone who has purchased 2.7. Previous revisions of the game (2.5.1 or older) will not qualify for the free WQ3:AE update as those versions were grant funded up until 2011, unlike 2.7 which was funded through purchases and donations from customers.

WolfQuest: Anniversary Edition will be a free update to players who own WolfQuest 2.7. If you are buying WolfQuest: Anniversary Edition for the first time, the cost will likely be more than than the current game 2.7 (so it's cheaper to purchase it now and get WolfQuest: Anniversary Edition as a free update).

I have a question
Should I buy the 2.7 version or wait for the new release? If I should wait for the new release how much different would the price be?

It is better to buy the current release (version 2.7) before the Anniversary Edition update's planned release next week for a couple of reasons.
- Buying now means you're getting a better deal that the developer actively encourages.
- The WQ:AE update will be a free download for everyone who has already purchased and owns 2.7.
- Be aware that this only applies to WQ:AE, not the Tower Fall expansion which launches in the future as separate paid DLC.

The final price tag has yet to be announced.

From the FAQs about WolfQuest: Anniversary Edition thread written and maintained by the developer, which I linked in my previous post:

The Tower Fall expansion will be an in-game purchase (DLC).

Man the wait has been hard even though it's not that long.
I already bought the game and am looking forward to playing
Thanks for such a awesome game. It takes a lot of work and dedication to work on something for so long

Unless I counted wrong, it'll be about 4 or 5 pm where I live when it's released. Time to get some sleep and then dig thru my old email for my 2.7 purchase, lol.

Your safest bet is to type 2 PDT in Google; it should convert it to your own time right away. :)
The timer is a cute touch. Makes me feel the excitement.

The timer on Steam is not accurate, so it shouldn't have been seen as a guarantee. That may be something on Valve's end as opposed to being something set and defined by Eduweb. In any case, it isn't a lie; the game is planned to launch on the 25th of July at 2PM PDT. Timezones in other parts of the world really can't be helped. ^^;
The countdown at the top of the blog is counting down to the approximate launch time given by the developer. If you are unsure when to expect WQ:AE in your local time, use a converter to translate PDT to your timezone.
As always, please be patient~
