Slough Creek Release: The Day After

The day of a big release is always very exciting, as well as stressful. The day after....well, not so much excitement, but still some stress. As we anticipated, there are some bugs and issues that slipped by, so today is a two-patch day: 1.0.6a rolled out a few hours ago, and 1.0.6b is rolling out now. These have a couple critical fixes, some important improvements to territory, and a bunch of smaller fixes and improvements.

We love how great the WQ community is at helping each other! If you’re looking for more tips or help with Slough Creek gameplay, be sure to check the Game Help (via the Pause menu) or on our Knowledge Base.

Some old-timers noticed that the Slough Creek trailer looked a bit familiar, and indeed it was inspired by what came before...as you'll see at the end of today's devblog.

WolfQuest: Anniversary Edition is available now for PC/Mac on Steam and itch.io, as Early Access. The game currently includes Episode 1: Amethyst Mountain, Episode 2: Slough Creek, Lost River: Classic, and multiplayer mode in Amethyst and Lost River. (Slough Creek multiplayer is coming soon,.) The mobile version will come after the game (including Slough Creek) is completed on PC/Mac platforms. The next episode, Tower Fall (DLC) will follow. We do not announce specific release dates. We will release them when they are ready!

I may have had one or more of these bugs too, but I didn't really notice any (because everything worked very well). I also like the end of this devblog (showing the old SC trailer). I don't even remember this trailer. :lol:

And I can imagine that there is still plenty of work to do on SC - including MP and other things. Nevertheless, I don't have bad experience while playing. Everything worked very well so far.

I love the work y'all have put into the game. I am looking forward to seeing Slough Creek multiplayer.

I love Slough Creek. Does this mean Towerfall updates are coming soon? :mrgreen:
I can't wait for the day my pups will be full grown (after towerfall). Then we'll be a "real" wolf pack.

Speaking of the day after and multiple patches going through...I have a problem but I don't really think I can just capture the problem here and then, and send in a bug report. So, basically I made two saved games, I was recording and my obs crashed and my mate was called spruce, long story short I had to re-record it and restart my game and now I have a new mate also called Spruce. Ok so now I can not load Spruce 2 because Spruce 1 (even after changing his name to something else) is refusing to be replaced in his save. Tried to find a way to delete Spruce 1, and there is no way to do it. I am stuck with Spruce 2 floating somewhere in limbo and unable to load, and Hunter (Spruce 1 who refused the name change) still pops up in game as Spruce if I try to load a new slough creek episode. Help! I am in WQ Anniversary edition open beta, so I do expect bugs!
