Weirdest Animals on the Planet?

Post by Adalae » Mon May 03, 2010 4:13 pm

What's some of the weirdest animals you've seen or heard of?

[animals cannot be fictional - must actually be in nature. No religious references, etc.]

Any sketches on your computers, photographs, or google images are great so we can all see how weird they are xD!

I think the Aye aye is very strange looking:

Look at those claws!
I've heard they use those sharp claws to grip the branches they climb on.Their middle finger is much larger and thinner for scooping out bugs and tree nutrients of the cracks and gaps in the trees 8O

I don't know if you would consider this a weird animal but I heard of this crab called the Giant Spider Crab. It has a 12 foot wide leg span, almost wide enough to fill 2 parking spots. It weighs between 35 to 44 pounds and live in the deep ocean off southern Japan.

um... two headed snakes aren't really considered a species but they are real. It's basically twins that got stuck. it's really cool but the two heads eventually have to fight over control of the body in a battle of the brains sort of way. but if mentally trying to fight doesn't work they can always physically fight.(yes i didn't make this up you can go and look it up if you don't believe me).

In my opinion,
Weird looking animals
Are ones like the Tarsier Monkey (Because of the eyes, I call them "Olive Eyes")
http://wallpaper-s.org/15__Cute_Little_ ... Monkey.htm

Also, the narwhal.
I call it the "Unicorn of the Sea"
Because of the unicorn like horn on it.

Looks like a Chinese Crested Dog. And based on the condition of the teeth, possibly a senior dog.
