The gray wolf use to live all over the world, but thanks to numerous reasons, they have been cut back:
Range

Wolves were once common throughout all of North America but were killed in most areas of the United States by the mid 1930s. Today their range has been reduced to Canada and the following portions of the United States: Alaska, Idaho, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, Wisconsin and Wyoming. Mexican wolves are found in New Mexico and Arizona.

Thanks to the reintroduction of wolves in 1995, Yellowstone National Park is one of the most favored places to see and hear wolves in the native habitat. See a wolf range map >> http://www.defenders.org/images/factshe ... 50x400.jpg

They also live in parts of Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.

Wolves are seen more and more often in MN, WI, and MI, in addition to the northern Rockies. However, the best place to have a chance to see wolves is still in Yellowstone National Park (although there are more wolves in MN alone than in the entire Northern Rocky population).

I'm in Texas and we used to have wolves. They're long gone after the people that owned the large amuont of land back there started cutting trees and burning them.
I could use something to eat.

They did not know wolves lived on their land.

But anyway.. Wolves are in Texas, and as they said before wolves are about everywhere.

To learn where wolves in the US can be found, take a look at this map:

http://www.wolf.org/wolves/learn/wow/re ... ed_States/

To read information about wolves in specific states, click on the map. Also, if you click "Return to: World Map" in the above right, you can find information about wolves in the rest of the world.
