Yeah... You have a point I must admit, I really do get frustrated when they do that. The way they role play simply doesn't make sense and if it does it's from another planet, surely not Earth. I hate that as well, but a ranked pack RP is fun when the ''leader'' of this pack get's to decide your ranking, even if the words alpha, beta, omega etc are not 100% correct. And overall it's even more fun if the certain player or players know how to RP. For instance:

Wolf 1: howls claiming den, etc.
Myself: My auds perked at the canine's howl, I gave a slight frown, irritated from the creature's action. The canid had really not considered the consequences of his actions. My tail gave a lash, I shook my cranium and moved on. My pace faster than usual, my attention was drawn towards the river, etc.
Wolf 2: hears howl and growls, etc.

You get the point...

Now that, I agree with completely. They may not be accurate terms, but when given out in a tidy manner, things are more fun and especially if everyone knows how to be good RPers.

I'm a loner, but when I see a pack hunting, I go help ...

I totally agree with that. Drama queens don't tend to help having fun on multiplayer, but sometimes it's funny hearing call for help over and over and its like "Alright! I'm coming!" :D

I actually like being both equally. Many RP i join everyone like to vote to start out being a loner then becoming a pack getting the best of both worlds

I prefer start as loner and meet the other players along the role play, but I have no problems starting with a pack instead.

I often like to be a part of a pack, but starting off as a loner is always fun too.

Honestly it depends on what's going on/what the main focus of the multiplayer game is. For instance, if the main focus of the game is hunting then I tend to prefer being apart of a pack because I think it's fun to do that sort of thing alongside others, especially when there's some sort of strategy involved. However, if the game has hierarchies and the entire game is dictated by that, then I tend not be interested and would prefer to be a loner (I probably wouldn't even join a game like that anyway).

with raj, i tend to usually have him start out as a loner. it adds more depth to the introductions and makes it so that other people can get used to his character, rather than just hopping in and assuming what he's like/acting as if they've cultivated a proper friendship with him.
