Re: Ideas for New Episodes V2
It'd be hilarious and great if sometimes a carcass would, when mostly/completely consumed, spawn a Particularly Interesting Bone that you could carry about, and play fight over, and try to get two wolves biting-and-holding at the same time for tug-of-war. Maybe there's an Exceptionally Good Abandon...

Make the colour of a wolf's hover-text name settable by the player. Make that wolf's scent trail the same colour as its name. I love this idea as a way to represent different scents, as in reality scents, even if different wolves is unique...however in terms of game functionality it could potential...

Re: Why wouldn't wolves and dogs normally "get along"?
They're not just similar, they're arguably the same species.
Probably this is why they don't get along -- wolves typically don't like stranger wolves, and drive them off or kill them.

Re: Can wolves be Gay/Lesbian?
Lots of animals have shown homosexual behaviour, but it’s almost always for dominance reasons between males. (A strong male climbing on top of a weaker male.) They will still have sex with the opposite gender to reproduce, so they’re not actually homosexual. The only animals which can be homosexual...

I'm surprised elk would turn to look directly at you, I thought they had a blind spot from their nose outwards. Yeah, me too! Or at least, even though their vision does overlap a bit, that'd be like using peripheral vision for us. This is cool. A human field of vision is a bit under 180 degrees, an...

You get some messages like 'Mother is telling you to come with the pack, infographic of the movement controls' and so on, telling y...

Re: Flock Around the Clock
Yellowstone is full of wildlife, but most of those animals live hidden lives most of the time -- especially smaller animals that fear being preyed upon by the larger carnivores. In our hikes around the park in September, we saw evidence of ground squirrels, badgers, and beavers, but we never spotte...

I'd let you revive your mate as often as you want, or let it be dead, independent of difficulty levels.

Re: Hungry (Sometimes) Like The Wolf
Seems like a potential mistake. Cats spend 70% of their lives asleep, but replicating lethargy does not constitute rewarding gameplay. While realistic, making the character sleep away time or perform on reduced stats seems like negative reinforcement for completing a successful hunt. In single play...

Yeah -- I am hoping for more small game. Like a marmot, it's very slow but never far from its hole so you must sneak up on it from downwind and get close before it sees you. And grouse that you must catch in one jump or they fly away, but you might find a nest of eggs. Also grouse that try to lead y...

The compass in the game-window's frame, and show packmates on it. 'The Endless Forest' multi-player game/screensaver had this, with landmarks and other players indicated by little symbols in the frame, which got brighter or changed colour depending on how far away you were from them. It feels (at le...

Denning could be made richer -- you might find an existent den-site (possibly pups will not perform as well in a fleasome well-used site?) OR dig a new den entirely, choosing your site (and here's where you could make a mistake and somewhere too low, and need to move your pups to a new site when the...
