Re: What wildlife have you seen recently?
You're in Florida, right? Man Florida is just a paradise for all kinds of birds. And the ospreys are already back where you are! They should be back from migration up here soon, I can't wait. Haven't been out much lately cause I've been sick, but I did see a pileated woodpecker walking to my car. T...

Re: February 2016 Theme: Canines (CLOSED)
If I had more access to wild canids, I totally would have joined in haha. But hey, I still think you're photograph was fantastic! I'm glad that you still shared it, regardless if no one else was able to join in this round. Congrats =D

Re: What wildlife have you seen recently?
I went out for a walk the other day into my local park to go birding. Nothing too abnormal. Saw a belted kingfisher, downy woodpecker, white-breasted nuthatch, and a red-tailed hawk. I also saw lots of Canada geese and starlings haha.

Re: Pokémon
I'm just kinda sad that they didn't show anything else about Sun and Moon, just confirming that they're real. I knew they probably were going to be after the images leaked yesterday, but I kinda just wanted some footage or somethiiiiing.
Guess I'll have to keep waiting.

Re: Favorite Breed of Bird/General Bird Discussion
I saw some black-billed magpies when I was in Colorado a few years ago, and they were just some of the coolest looking corvids.
Also, Stellar's jays are pretty cool too.

Yo dawg, I appreciate it. =3 that junco shot is actually... morbidly beautiful? i love the focus of it, and the lack of color makes the subject that more defined. it's also a bit of a compliment-- absence of color coupled with an absence of life. great work! You've got a good eye for analyzing phot...

So is dead wildlife allowed? Cause I have some dead wildlife.

Dark-eyed Junco, most likely died due to a window strike.

Re: Favorite Breed of Bird/General Bird Discussion
I love sharing info when I can. =3 I don't know much about raven ownership, but I would imagine them being difficult to take care of. Although they may be similar to taking care of other exotics, I'm not sure. I'd have to read into it. We actually just had a rare Common Raven sighting here in Delaw...

Re: Favorite Breed of Bird/General Bird Discussion
That's a shame- they're really cool birds. Here we mostly just have fish crows and blue jays, and occasionally I see American crows.
But mostly fish crows. They are everywhere on my college campus.

Re: Favorite Breed of Bird/General Bird Discussion
Birds are coo. Bird rescues and sanctuaries are great places to learn more about birds. I got to handle and learn all about many native birds around my area when I was an intern at the local bird rescue. I couldn't get into the medical part of it though, so I've gone down the path of research more....

Re: Pokémon
I don't know what is happening in other countries, but folks in the US can go get a card from Gamestop that you download Mew from. I realized that I now, after 15 years or so, have all original 151 Pokemon. THIS IS WHAT MY LIFE HAS LED UP TO. They will also be releasing a bunch of other mythical Po...

Re: Favorite Breed of Bird/General Bird Discussion
As a pet. I personally never saw it happen when I worked there, but apparently in the past some people took them. I really don't think they really do that anymore to my knowledge. They tried to make it as clear as possible to the public that they can't take in non natives to avoid having to potenti...

Is it weird if I really want to grab that cactus? For some reason I really want to touch it haha.
That's a really cool shot though- close-ups can really change your perception of what your photographing. I really like this one.
And I still want to touch it.
Looking forward to more! =D

I like that urban background. What a stark contrast from the subject. Also, someone really needs to groom themselves, lol.

Thanks guys! Glad you like 'em.
I do have some other things, but I'll just share one photo for now. It's about 3 years old. It's more along the lines of what I really love though.
Eastern Screech-Owls at the Ohio Bird Sanctuary.
