Re: Eastern coyote "should be a separate species"

Unnecessary, in my opinion. I feel that if anything, eastern coyotes should just be labeled as hybrids and not their own species. Too much variation in their genes for me to see them as a completely isolated population. I just can't consider an animal that is a variable mix of three different speci...

Re: Pokémon

Idc, Rowlet is going to be my homeboy and we're going to win everything ever despite his weaknesses. I really hope his final evolution is super awesome looking. I remember nobody liked Oshawott when the Unova starters were shown for the first time, but his final evolution was AWESOME. I guess I may...

Re: Pokémon

I don't care if Rowlet ends up turning into something hideous. He's going to be mine.
'Tis a shame though, he's going to get crushed by ice moves with ease.

Re: Pokémon

So I want you all to guess which starter I'm going to pick.

Seriously though, just watched the video and I lost it when I saw it. It's my destiny to have that little nugget.

The other ones are meh. But I think I'm getting Moon.

Re: What wildlife have you seen recently?

I was on the computer in my bed not long ago and WHAM. Something flies into my window screen behind me. I raised my blinds and see two mourning doves just chilling outside my window. They were fine and flew off after about a minute, but still it scared me. I don't even have to leave my room anymore...

Re: Marketing suggestions?

Pleasure meeting you, Pepper! Going off of Lobo, I found WQ through the International Wolf Center as well way back when because I was very interested in wolves. I think that perhaps on top of advertising through zoos and conservation entities, perhaps we could take a journalistic/news article appro...

Doesn't look like it was a swift death sadly. Pretty impressive rack though- that male must have been quite the ladies' man when he was still up and around.

Re: Forum users you know in real life

Nope, don't know anyone outside of here. I doubt there's anyone in the state of Delaware that I would know or could meet lol.

I'd be fine with meeting some folks if given the chance, especially some of the oldies. Some of you guys are cool.

Re: Forum Suggestions V2

I think that would be a pretty cool topic. That would require a lot less maintenance than having to run AMAs related to research. I still like the idea of AMAs, but maybe they can be considered in the future if there is more site traffic.

Re: Wild tiger populations increase after a century of decli

This is definitely good to hear- at least there is progress but there is still much more work to be done. Also, I just found a statement from tiger biologists that I believe is worth mentioning about how the population rise claim is misleading. In the article that this thread is centered around, it...

Re: No new invasives found in Great Lakes for the past 10 ye

That was my first thought too, when I think of invasives the first thing I think of are those dang Asian Carp. Perhaps they weren't mentioned because they originally did not arrive via ship ballasts, while species such as zebra mussels were. They are making their way to the Great Lakes by other mea...

Re: Forum Suggestions V2

In regards to having AMAs, I love the idea for those involved with WolfQuest, wolves, and wildlife. I would love to share my experiences with ornithological research or just research in general. But as pointed out, I just don't know if there's enough activity happening here for it to be successful....

No new invasives found in Great Lakes for the past 10 years

No new confirmed aquatic invasive species in Great Lakes for 10 years The first saltwater ship of the 2016 season is expected to enter the Twin Ports within the next week or two, likely to pick up some grain. But it’s what that oceangoing freighter won’t be dropping off that has spurred excitement ...

Yeah, was really looking forward to maybe seeing more entries this time around. xP Oh well, it has gotten a little quiet around this portion of the forum as of late.

Thank you though! =3

Re: "Edible spoons promise to be tasty while saving the plan

As twinlinskis pointed out, they are hoping to reduce the cost to make it more affordable. If the demand for these spoons builds up, then producing mass quantities should help reduce the cost of making them, and ultimately the price. Sign me up for the sugar spoon, please! I'm just imagining those ...
