Re: A guide for realistic multi-player roleplaying

Wow, lots of catching up to do! Great things here, everyone! Unrealistic- wolf behaviors around an animal that a wolf in real life won't do. Like killing a bear for no reason, or not protecting pups from a coyote, or being friends with a rabbit, stuff like that. One time I was in a RP and one of the...

Re: Your ideas for 'resting' in the game

So far, I voted for option 5. it's simple and I like the idea of a separate key for sleeping to allow time to pass.

Re: A guide for realistic multi-player roleplaying

Not Realistic: *Humanizing wolves with emotion besides those related to a wolf’s instinct to survive. (I thought about including this in Borderline..I'm curious what others think!) I think this one should be borderline because it's also a part of "talking", in a sense. Talking is a humanizing aspec...

Re: Inappropriate Player Activeness Graph-A WQ Community Project

I'm thinking that when we're planning out the schedule (the schedule should of course be absolutely solid before we start patrolling), the suggestions given to us by the patrollers for their times should be very well-thought-out, meaning that when we ask them for the times that they think they migh...

Re: Your favourite views

I really like the view from the cliffs around Lamar in AM, looking toward Slough Creek in the distance. That just tickles me to no end. ;) In SC, one of my favorite views is from the highest hill in Aspen. I get up there and hear the wind whipping around me and I can get lost in looking at everythin...

Re: A guide for realistic multi-player roleplaying

Borderline: Alpha, Beta, Omega. I think it would be ok to use these rankings although they are not accurate, its not the end of the world if someone uses it. Nor is it totally unrealistic because for captive wolves they have those rankings. But i think those ranks can be used in RPs as long as peop...

Re: A guide for realistic multi-player roleplaying

Sorry for the second post, but I wanted to include a few ideas of my own and have some discussion on them before including them in the list! Borderline: *Constant fighting between wolves (I didn't hunt up one specific thread about this, but if you read about wolves here, I think it's safe to say tha...

A guide for realistic multi-player roleplaying

I know roleplaying on WQ is not everyone's cup of tea, but there are many who love this aspect of it. I've seen several people say that a RPing guide would be great, and so, here we go! Because I'm not the expert, and the community is so great at stuff like this, I wanted this to be something compil...

Re: Inappropriate Player Activeness Graph-A WQ Community Project

Registered! :) I agree that using the old schedules to make new ones, plugging in new patrollers as well, is a good idea. And the website looks great!

Re: Inappropriate Player Activeness Graph-A WQ Community Project

A suggestion, not knowing when we'll start officially patrolling: We should avoid the upcoming Christmas holiday period when there will probably be an unusual amount of activity. I noticed over Thansgiving break that the chats rocketed in numbers. I'm guessing we want this to be based on normal ever...
