Re: Most irritating animal misconceptions
that dogs are "uwu angels" and can't do any harm.
like no, dogs are predators, and can still harm smaller dogs, cats, birds, and other animals, even in "play." control them when in public, especially around unfamiliar animals.

Nature Internships
not to be confused with the Wolf Internships thread ! Anyone had any internships at a nature center, zoo, or anything else related to wildlife? Share your experiences (if you can). I currently intern at a wildlife/nature center close to my house. We work with Texas native animals for the most part,...

I second that as well. I know some users only post their work in the art sections and no where else, as its a pretty safe place to do so where it won’t get stolen.

Re: Washington groups to get one-day notice of wolf culling
i disagree with this as well. honestly, environmental groups (peta, the dodo, etc) tend to do more harm than good for animals in most cases. the wolves were being culled for a reason, and typically culling is only done if the population benefits from it. i only see these groups caring about individ...

Re: All About Wolfdogs: Info & Guide
Mhm. Even if it doesn't get loose and bite anyone, there's always a possibility that their neighbors won't like it and will take action against the dog somehow, especially if she's in a more rural area. not to mention, since she probably got it from a sketchy breeder, the health issues the dog prob...

i’ve killed a few once or twice. For me it isn’t worth my resources in game to kill the stranger wolves.

Re: Animal Bone Hunt, Without hurting anyone
Alethe makes a good point about non-native birds. Could put a note about that in the post, or a link to CITES or similar. its actually not non-native birds that are protected, the native ones are. But CITES is another good thing to bring up. Especially if you’re buying something exotic like a leopa...

Re: Animal Bone Hunt, Without hurting anyone
very cool, but um. Where are you located? I ask because if you’re in the United States, Canada, or Russia, it is a federal crime to own any part of a native migratory bird. Black birds fall under that. In fact, all but three common species of birds (pigeons, starlings, and one other) do. You can ge...
