Re: WQ 10th Anniversity: Call for Video Memories

Oh, that's so exciting! I'll be looking forward to seeing what you guys have to say on it. :) And I'll try and put together a video myself in the next couple days if my cold goes away and I get my voice fully back!

About how long should our videos be?

Re: Announcing WolfQuest 3: Anniversary Edition!

This is perfect. I still remember the dark days when the users were all trying to save Wolfquest while the admins were all set on killing it. The admins weren't set on killing it; it just didn't have the kind of funding needed to keep it running, and had lasted way longer than expected already so t...

Re: Mapmaking

That's so exciting - especially that the old maps are going to have bigger, newer versions too! Are we going to be able to play the old maps as an option at all? It's neat that the Burn, for instance, is going to be replaced by healthy forest in the new map, but I'd be sad for it to be gone from the...

Re: A Fresh Start

Wow! I know from experience how messy projects can get when you keep adding and adding code to get new pieces just right - and you've got ten years' worth of it! It's a big task to take on, but sometimes it's best to restructure things from scratch; it'll save more time in the long run and allow you...

Re: Now available on Steam!

So what exactly is steam? Sorry I am a little behind online... What is the difference between the steam game and the itch.io game? It's a popular online store (known for its sales: during the summet and winter sales games go for 50-75% off so a lot get priced at $5). It is also a program to manage ...

Re: Music Extras released!

I really liked the video! The "original" take of the main theme in the video made me laugh, haha. I also really like the piano version of the Lost River theme, but I'm glad that you guys went with the usual guitar sort of arrangement in-game, because I think it would have felt really jarring to have...

Re: How did you find out about WolfQuest?

I'm surprised I never posted on this thread.
I discovered it when it was advertised on the International Wolf Center's website, on Jan 3 2008, which was shortly after launch I think. I asked my parents right away if I could download it, and they agreed.

Re: WolfQuest on Steam Greenlight!

Well, on the bright side, our yes-vs-no percentage is improving, so it's probably more of a case of two games just being real popular and rocketing up there, rather than WQ being rated badly.

Re: Wildest WolfQuest Rumors You've Heard

There was a really popular rumor for a while that there would be cougars and bison in 2.5. Cana had to make a thread disproving that one too.

Re: WolfQuest on Steam Greenlight!

Exactly. And whoever said that Greenlight games have to be brand-new with cutting-edge graphics? There's nothing wrong with a much-loved older game getting in there. It's annoying when people complain "These graphics look like they're from 2007". Dave, maybe you should put something in that descript...

Re: Lexicon Chat disabled in WQ 2.5

I kinda don't get it. Doesn't disabling the easy way to chat and meet new people get players annoyed by the chatting? I personally am so annoyed by it so i don't feel like playing that much anymore. It's not a big deal for me because i play only 2.7 version now, BUT there's not free text chat eithe...
