Re: Funny/sad/frustrating stories in wolfquest 3!

One of my most frustrating moments in the game was when I tried to kill a moose calf, but stranger wolves just kept coming and intervening. I still haven't managed to kill a moose calf even now. Another frustrating moment was when I realized that the game wouldn't allow me to choose an emote to use....

Re: Learning the Ropes {WQ 3 Screenshots}

I have done some exploring and lurking as a lone male wolf for a while and have been sort of analyzing the different behaviors of the female dispersals. I’ve noticed a few differences in them , I can tell who is bolder and who is more cautious, and it’s getting easier to decide what I really want i...

Re: Assorted News

Even though this has been a relatively short devblog, I can definitely see why. I'm sure the past few weeks have been pretty stressful for the team, especially with so many bugs that needed to be fixed and so many things keeping everyone on their toes. Ironically, I also have been pretty busy for th...

Re: Ideas for New Episodes/Future Updates

Alright, I know that there have been lots of suggestions for new animals over the years, and we are getting more new ones soon (like the Bighorn Sheep and Beaver) but I think that some more diverse wildlife, even if players don't often see them and can't really interact with them much, would definit...

Re: Ideas for New Episodes/Future Updates

Please allow us to set hotkeys for the emotes, it gets frustrating when you're trying to pull up a certain emote to intimidate an opponent and have to fumble around with the emotes panel, and by the time you can pull up the emote you want, the rival wolf is already attacking you. Players don't ever ...

Re: Looking Forward, Looking Back

Two more days until the Anniversary Edition releases! Man, I'm excited. A little overwhelmed, yes, but excited nonetheless. It's honestly really crazy to think that we've waited two years for this, it's been such a long journey, from the first teaser trailer for Tower Fall to the announcement of Wol...

Re: Ideas for New Episodes/Future Updates

Cattle Ranch in Slough Creek: The cows and calf need actual turn and walk animations, plus the models themselves could be upgraded. I also noticed some visual errors in the fence around the cows. (The cows actually look a little wonky in their current state, hahaha.) I personally think the Cattle R...

Re: Most irritating animal misconceptions

I'm sure it's been said before on this thread in other ways, but: iTs AlL iN HoW yOu TrAIN TheM. Inherited aggression is a very real phenomenon. Also, the frequency of albinism in nature. A picture of a leucistic goose went viral in my city, but the poster mistakenly said it was albino. Then the co...

Re: All the WQ Players Summed Up

The Amateur: The new kid on the block who hasn't ever played the game before, doesn't know how to RP, doesn't even grasp the concept of herding elk so that we don't have to go as far to get food, and doesn't even know where the crossing is. This is normal for newbies, yes, but it's frustrating for e...

Re: Would a coyote eat a dead wolf?

Considering that coyotes are opportunistic, it might. I'd assume it's probably much more common for coyotes to feed on dead ungulates like elk or deer because those animals are more commonly hunted and killed, so it might not be very well documented due to how uncommon that is in the wild. But consi...

Re: Most irritating animal misconceptions

The idea that cow milk is good for cats (it's not, it can actually give them diarrhea). The idea that bears often eat honey. While bears do eat from beehives, they are actually after the larvae and eggs of the bees and not the honey itself (though they will still eat honey sometimes, it isn't a majo...

Re: Hunting for the Hardcore

Wow. The new "Accurate" difficulty looks epic! The ability for both your wolf and the elk to do more damage is a great way to encourage players to think strategically and to really think like a wolf. The final battle where George was trying to bring down the calf while trying to avoid the mother's k...

Re: Moose

I have unfortunately never seen a moose in the wild. I can't remember if I've seen one in a zoo, I think I might have, but it's been at least a year since I've visited the zoo so my memory might be a little off. That being said, you really do have to admire them. They're the largest member of the fa...

Re: What is your favorite wild cat?

Oh man, this is a tough one. While smaller wild cats like Bobcats and servals are quite interesting, I'd still probably have to go with the tiger. Tigers are what I think of when someone says the words "Apex Predator". Tigers are the biggest of the cats anyway, so it makes sense that they're my favo...

Re: Wolf Delisting: How much more help do wolves need?

I also agree with your concern. While wolves as a species don't necessarily fit the definition of an endangered or threatened species anymore, smaller populations of them that are isolated from the rest of the main population are still vulnerable and could be easily killed off if the species is deli...
