WolfQuest 2.7.2 Preview
WolfQuest 2.7.2 Preview
We're working hard on the next game update, which will have several new features:
* Text chat in public games
* Up to eight players in multiplayer
* Improved environments (more variety of vegetation, denser grasses and bushes)
* Butterflies and other insects
* Birds, and a new soundscape of accurate birdsong
* Cougars!
* Another cool thing
This version will be released for Mac and Windows computers, and for mobile devices. Because of that, the mobile version will be slightly delayed (which is frustrating, but we decided it was better to wait and include all these new features in the mobile version than to release an update a few weeks later that many people might not download). Our target release date is sometime in the second half of June -- first with the Mac/Win update, and then the iOS version, followed by the Android version. So the latter may slip into early July, depending how it goes.
Here's a screenshot of the cougar. This is from the mobile version, with joystick and onscreen buttons.
And another new feature: actual 3D ravens on carcasses! And one more preview: sneak up on a fox to watch it hunt mice!

Cougar's lookin' good, Dave.
Very glad to hear of the other improvements, especially the improved environments and insects.
Will there be bird models in the game? Or just their more accurate birdsongs?
Can't wait to see that other 'cool thing', you sure like leaving us howling for more don't ya!

Wow! This is so exciting!
Re: WolfQuest 2.7.2 Preview
When you feel it appropriate could we get a turnaround of the cougar model maybe? :3 Also would you consider updating the wolf run animation and adding more frames? And maybe later on instead of just speeding up the animation when your wolf is high in the speed stat, add a longer stride? I just feel like a lot of the animations for the wolf need changing, especially the jump. I never found it to have that satisfying spring![/size] effect.

Re: WolfQuest 2.7.2 Preview
Awesome! Thank you for all your hard work! Much appreciated. Is the possibility of actually raising a pack and fighting other packs/bears/cougars together as a pack in the near future for Wolfquest?
