Yellowstone National Park provides an ungulate banquet – so these large, hoofed mammals are also the main course in WolfQuest. Elk are the top choice and were a key reason of why the park was chosen for wolf reintroduction. Swift mule deer and nimble bighorn sheep might feed a clever wolf but they are hard to catch! Large wolf packs even tackle dangerous bison. (Yes, bison hunting is at the top of the WolfQuest wishlist for a future episode). Snowshoe hares and maybe an occasional beaver can provide a snack (and an enjoyable change of pace for WolfQuest players) even though they may be not worth the effort when elk are on the menu.
Coming to WolfQuest 3: Anniversary Edition, many new and improved prey:
* New elk models – bulls, spikes (young bulls), cows, calves
* Improved moose model with new calves
* New mule deer – bucks, does, and fawns
* New bighorn sheep – rams, ewes, and lambs
* New snowshoe hare model
* New beaver (Slough Creek)
* New carcasses (with option for more gore or less gore)
* New ability to carry small prey and meat chunks
We are getting closer every week to releasing the first episode, Amethyst Mountain, for PC/Mac on Steam and itch.io, as Early Access. That will be followed by Slough Creek some months later, then followed by the mobile versions. We’ll then resume development of the next episode, Tower Fall.
3D Models by GIM Studios, Phillip Guerrero, and Steve Adamson.

Re: Meet the Prey
Ooo new prey models. The video won't work but I'll just watch it on YouTube. If the 'Meet the Competition' video is any indication, I bet the models will be beautiful.
Edit: I... I wasn't disappointed... Oh my goodness the moose was majestic, I fell in love with the lambs, and that Bull Elk was beautiful with his strut. It is very safe to say I wasn't disappointed.

Re: Meet the Prey
Love those hares and the ungulates! I noticed how some of the hares had different colors then the others. (Such one hare having a dark brown pelt and another having a light brown one) I'm assuming the hares will now have more variation in color and size now! I love all those calves and lambs! That last scene looks like something on Halloween XD.

Re: Meet the Prey
I'm having trouble viewing the video. Anybody else? When I click on it, it says the video has been removed by user. Tried the youtube link and it said the same thing. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Meet the Prey
Yay, able to watch now
I was not prepared for how cute those hares would be. The lambs look really realistic, too.
Looking forward to the early access!

Re: Meet the Prey
The new models look great! I'm glad that we will be getting many new options for prey in the new game, even if elk remain players' main food source. The animations look excellent as well! The addition of younger variants of prey animals, while seemingly a small addition, adds so much more variety to players' options for animals to hunt, and hunting the new beavers will be a good change of pace from hunting the larger ungulates. I also love the models for the Bighorn Sheep and Mule Deer, they look so realistic and lifelike. I'm also looking forward to seeing what the new gore settings will be like.

Love the new improved music!
Re: Meet the Prey
I got a idea! Maybe you can drag small-ish prey that is too big to be picked up? (For example: calves of all ungulates)
