Please do not submit your reports to the forum, either via private message or in a new topic. We have provided reasons not to do so here so please take a moment to read that thread as well.
Reporting while playing
These instructions only apply while playing in someone’s session or server.- Open Pack Stats (Esc // Pause menu), find the problem player, and click the ‘Report’ button.
Reporting from the lobby
These instructions only apply while viewing sessions or servers displayed in the public multiplayer lobby.- Find the problem game and click the ‘Report’ button.
What should I do if I didn’t report?
If you have proof, a last resort would be to submit an abuse report via e-mail.- Know their username(s). Make sure your evidence clearly displays their username! This is found while entering a game and shown on the lobby. Wolf names are very vague and offer us very little help if it is a common name. (For example, a wolf named “Fang” could be used across many players.)
- Provide proof. Take a screenshot of rule breaking behavior as soon as possible. Alternatively, provide your output_log file.
- Send an abuse report. E-mail abuse@wolfquest.org and don’t forget to include the above details in the message body. You can attach screenshot(s) to the e-mail or you can upload them to a file/media/photo-sharing website and provide the direct link(s) in the message body. All abuse reports are strictly confidential.
What is/is not reportable?

Notes
How to find the chat logBefore restarting the game, find the chat log.
On Windows: You can find the chat log under C:\Users\%USERNAME%\My Documents\My Games\WolfQuest\WolfQuest_Data\output_log.txt (for Itch.io) or C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\WolfQuest\WolfQuest_Data\output_log.txt (for Steam*).
On Mac: OSX: You can find it in an application called “Console” which you can find in the Applications/Utilities folder. Launch that app, then in the left side window, under “Database Searches” and “Files” scroll down until you see “Unity” (it’s nested inside FILES/~/Library/Logs, so twirl those open if they’re not already). Then click on Unity/Player.log and copy the contents of the big window into an e-mail.
If you don’t find the chat log there, try this:
- Right click on the program icon
- Choose “Run as Administrator”
- Allow access/confirm the prompt in any Windows pop-ups.
How to take a screenshot
Press the 1 key on your keyboard. That should take a screenshot and save it in your WolfQuest folder. Or,
For Windows: hold down the shift key and push the ‘print screen’ button near the top of your keyboard. Release both keys. Open a writing/drawing/publishing program (like Word or Paint) and click on Paste or use Ctrl + V. Save the file.
For Mac: Press Command + Shift + 3. This should save a screenshot on your desktop.
File/media/photo-sharing websites
