How do I send/receive messages?

After registering an account and logging into the game, visit the ‘Account’ option from the splash screen, or ‘Profile’ from the in-game Options interface and select the Messages tab.
There are three columns available in this interface: one to display sent and received messages, one to view, respond to or delete the currently selected message and one that allows you to compose a new message. There are no character limits.
