I've seen a recent documentary on the animal, and they say it has been identified as a new species (just t sum everything up about the ideas). They have classified it as a Wild dog, they though it is a cross between the Red Wolf and the Coyote or something (that's what I recall from the documentary). It is also known that is can kill a whole heard of fully grown cattle in just one night, which is pretty amazing for such a 'small' animal. In addition, it has a very over growm muzzle for pushing into the animal and making through the hide with ease.
Also, here is police footage of the animal!:

Looks like a mixed breed domestic dog. The bad smell and the missing fur could be explained by a disease such as mange. Not sure why the gums are blue though. Judging by the fact that it still has alot of fur, it was probably in the early stages of mange when it was hit. Poor thing. It was cute and a beautiful blue color.

It's not some mutant creature, just a poor dog that had a horrible disease...
Probably a Chow mix, as people said - that would explain the blue gums.

I've watched a series of television that spoke of this "mutant canine" and they have given it the name of ''chupacabra'', they estam researching to see what kind of animal he was. an old lady, had the body of the stuffed creature, but I do not get too cocky, but when she showed the video, I was not suspicious.

Until he has beautiful eyes but his face .... not .... well .... it's gruesome :P :P !

Interesting, it's probably just a regular canine though. Diseases can affect the way animals look and act. This is probably the most logical answer to these mysterious sightings and what-not.

weird, I don't have many clues on what it could be, but it sure does sound interesting.

This seems like a reasonable explanation but the blue gums could be a disease called Cyanosis which is low blood pressure.
Gums is included in 'Skin'
Cyanosis is a bluish color to the skin or mucus membranes that is usually due to a lack of oxygen in the blood.

Yeah this could also be correct as Chow Chow's should have a blueish tongue and gums.

But otherwise it could be Cyanosis.
