What canines have you seen?

Where I live we get them ALL the time! Gets a little annoying hearing them though but once I have seen one 7-10 feet away from me.

One time, a coyote ran across the road in front of our car at about 10:00 at night.

• • I live in the middle of the woods and it isn't at all uncommon for them to wander around our yard. We've even had them come right up to the door. We raise chickens and they often attempt to hunt our chickens or snag food from our dogs (though of course we highly discourage this. We are in no way feeding the coyotes). One summer their den was quite near our home and we were delighted to listen to their pups yapping and barking at night. Although we never saw the pups, it was quite enjoyable to listen to. However, these little buggers have also been responsible for eating at least three of my cats - which was not appreciated.

I would highly recommend searching animal planet videos or just Youtube. You can find some nice video footage that people, or professionals, have caught of coyotes even if you don't get the chance to see them yourself.

Only once. The poor thing had mange, and it was skin and bones. I saw it trotting through a corn field. I felt so bad for it. But me and my cousin (who now lives on a farm), heard coyotes howling and yapping one night. It was amazing!

There are many coyotes where I live, though I hear them more often then I see them. But yes, I see them in packs or alone. They're very wonderful animals

I don't have too much in wild animal experience; living in a large city, we don't see too many of them. I have never seen a wild coyote, and have only seen a wild fox once, when I was on vacation. It ran in front of our car; we almost hit it!

I have seen coyote multiple of them. One time, i was hiking, then a random wild coyote came out of no where. It was very cute though

i live right off of a big conservation area, so we get the coyotes howling every night. we hardly ever see them during the day, periodically during dusk, but mostly during the night. i HAVE tried calling to them before. (: one time, it was dusk and i has just horsing around with my friend, pretending to howl and stuff. i guess it was more coyote-ish when the howls got broken up by laughing. maybe it sounded more like yipping and barking to them. but right away, the coyotes started howling along. on the same day, a bit earlier, we had seen coyote run out of the bushes when my brother was mowing the lawn. it was a female, and we where pretty sure she had pups somewhere. her belly was clearly swollen with milk.
love this animals! i have seen a bunch over the years but it never ceases to give me a thrill.

There used to be a bunch of coyotes living behind our house. Bobcats too. Then workers started building back there and I don't see them anymore. I saw several coyotes over the years.

I don't live around where there is much of people around. Where i do live though, is basicly in the territory of all wilf animals! I've seen plenty coyotes in my days and had to actually chase a few off/away from my dog. Every now and again one tires to go after a few of the horses but fails xD So i see them about a few times every few weeks.

• My grandpa lives in a very rural area, and pretty much all around his house are woods. I've seen coyotes roaming around in his backyard before, and you can hear them howling and yelping and things at night. Its pretty frightening -- they seem so menacing -- but I don't think they've ever bothered anyone, or any of my grandpas dogs [which isn't really a surprise, since all of them are big enough to fend for themselves :P].
