WolfQuest on Steam Greenlight! UPDATE: Greenlit!!

Post by loboLoco » Thu Dec 10, 2015 4:48 pm

We've put WQ 2.7 on Steam Greenlight! Please go vote for it!

Update 23 December: And...we've been Greenlit!

I'd given up hope for this week, but I guess they decided to accept some more games as a holiday give to us!

Very cool! I think the game will have more success with the Steam community. :) I made sure I voted!

Sweet. Upvoted it. The comments are nice to see so far, they are certainly of a more constructive nature than ones on the itch.io comment page were. I hope it all works out well.

Yes, although a couple are complaining about the graphics and how they look outdated. That might hurt.

Yeaahh, just checked again, unfortunately the trolls have come out of the woodworks as well. Still, it's cool to see nostalgic past players run into WQ again. Shame about the sudden negativity. :/

I think the amount of current players commenting should help. Although yes, I have noticed that there has been a surge of trolls or general dissenters, too. (Which, is a shame, but I understand everyone has their own opinion-- you would just hope that they express it appropriately but we all know that's not always the case.) Most of the feedback seems positive from looking at the comments, so I think all will go well.

Honestly I wouldn't go so far as to say that all the negative people are trolls, a few of those comments weren't worded badly, they just were giving feedback. which happened to be nagative. which is understandable.

But a few were just downright rude. Which is sad. :/

Oh, yeah- hence my initial notion of the comments being constructive. When I say trolls I do specifically mean trolls, as in, the ones who just drop a load of profanity and mockery without really any substance to it.

yeah, those comments were totally uncalled for. I wonder why people have this much time in their day to make a point to go leave those messages. :/ disappointing.

I just hope it still makes it despite the people that are judging a book by it's cover (yes the trailer is a little annoying). The game really is a beautiful game and I hope it makes it. I'm worried that the trolls will be Wolfquest's downfall :(

Does anyone know when the voting will be done? I don't know much of the Steam Greenlight process.

Despite it's popularity here, this would be nice for the rest of the traffic on steam that WQ would be reviewed there too. Ahhhh I might even get it on steam as well, not sure yet. :> Great for this news!
