I bought the game downloaded it for windows I pressed play game and a little error box came up saying "File Missing" am I supposed to download a patch or something?

Try closing the launcher and opening it again. It did that to me and after doing that, it worked fine and downloaded.

The fact that the server overloaded because of the number of downloads reminds me of when SC first came out and the same thing happened. Inconvenient as it is, it's a strangely nice reminder of how the WQ fanbase (if you could call it that? lol) has endured after all this time.
I wasn't active when SC came out, but I was more or less thinking the same thing.
Having so many people on that it crashes is a pretty good problem to have. So glad that things are getting more active around here.

I wonder if anyone that left will come back to see the new release? I have friends from years ago on here that I lost touch with. Fingers crossed.
