Username Changes

Hello, everyone. Over the last year or so, I allowed one username change per person, mostly because I felt that was a fair compromise for making up for the fact that you could no longer choose a wolf name in the game. But with summer coming (I'm responsible for more non-WolfQuest-related programming that takes up most of my time) and the eventual game release, I just won't have time to keep up with everything. So, sorry, but the time has come to stop allowing username changes. After March 1st, I'm going to need to start focusing on other, more important things, so will not make any username changes after that date. If you want your username changed, I'd recommend doing it before then, or being willing to have your account deleted so you can make a completely new account. Besides, I think most of the people who donate/buy items from the store would rather have that money spent on bug fixes and safety than changing peoples' usernames.

Anyway, just wanted to give you all a heads up about it... I'll be changing the FAQ topic about username changes next.

Edit: make sure you read the detailed instructions in the WolfQuest FAQ for username changes- any username changes posted in this topic or sent via PM will go ignored.

Alright that makes sense Cana, I've seen a LOT of people changing their usernames so this is understandable.

You have to e-mail Cana (WQ Coordinator), with informations as Currently username, e-mail, a phrase with "Please change my username", and three options of changing if one of them don't work or is also used.

And also, thanks for the update, Cana! It is really understandable because people change their usernames randomly.

i tried to change my user name but they didn't comment back thats when my name was newwolfs i didn't even know that it would be my wolves name for multi player and then i read the instructions and i e-mailed my new user name but they never let me do it so i had to delete it and make a new one.Savanna911 now i'm never going to change it again i like this one and i had a friend on wolfquest named savanna

Ah, thanks for letting us know about this, Cana! Username changes have become increasly popular since users had the option to do so, so indeed, this is very understandable. Also, I think it'll be great that this hopefully takes a load off your back (since you'll be doing other things) :3

Thanks for letting us know Cana! I definitely think it sounds reasonable, since you must be crowded with "please change my username" e-mails all the time. Hopefully this should free up some of your time for other things.^^
