Wild Wolf EdVenture

Post by WQ Coordinator » Wed Jan 20, 2010 1:13 pm

I wouldn't normally make a post like this a global announcement, but I feel like it's a unique opportunity and I don't want people to miss it. I'll put this in "General Wolf Discussion" after a little while. I was hoping to get this out in the next newsletter, but the registration deadline is coming up quickly and we don't yet have enough people to make the program a go. So here's a sneak peak at one of the things that will be in the next newsletter (if we get it out in time!):

The WolfQuest game offers a chance for players to learn all about wolves without ever leaving their home. Now, the Minnesota Zoo is offering an amazing opportunity to learn even more about wolves. On March 5-7, 2010, join us at the Minnesota Zoo to see captive wolves and speak with a wolf zookeeper, then visit the International Wolf Center in Ely, Minnesota, to learn about wolves with a night wolf call, hike to an abandoned wolf den, and track radio-collared wolves from an airplane. This program is geared toward adults, but anyone ages 12-17 may attend with a parent/guardian. Please register by February 2nd. For more information, visit the Wild Wolf Ed-Venture webpage: http://www.mnzoo.org/education/educatio ... enture.asp

I know the date doesn't give you much time to think about it, but it should be a really great experience and I hope we can go!
Thanks for the avatar, Silverness!

Gosh, that sounds like so much fun! Too bad I live in eastern Canada. Too far away, I'm afraid.

I hope everyone who is going has a fantastic time!!

It does sound really cool!
However, it is still too far away for me;
I doubt my parents would be willing to drive all the way to this thing.
Have fun, everyone who is going! Hope you learn a lot! :mrgreen:

Those are awesome news, I would really like to go, but sadly I live to far away from Minnesota, and I don't have enough money as for paying the trip. As for the ones that are going I wish luck, and I hope you learn something about wolves, this is a great opportunity for everyone that can go.

Like I have said before, if I had the money for the flight trip from the UK to Minnesota then I would be there for sure, also if I could get someone to come with me. I would arrange the days off from work. I think who ever can go should, it would be a great experience. Shame I cannot make it. I will have to save up for another time, that is if there is an another time.
