I think the update is for the multiplayer problems, i would recommend downloading it because otherwise you cannot see your WQ friends on Multi player any more.

I've never even successfully gotten into a game.

Yes; this thread refers to version 1.6.4, which WQ members got an email about, uh, last week I think.

I dowloaded it, and it didn't fix my multiplayer. It still says USER ACCOUNT NOT VALID! GRR! I sent in the COPAA and everything...

Whenever I try to play multiplayer, nothing comes up.

I think we need to go back to the earlier version.

Because the version before this did absolutely nothing but make it not work for many people.

I'm getting the 'Problem determining NAT capabilities.', as well. The older version worked better for me, it feels.

Edit: I also get: 'Cannot do NAT punchthrough, impossible to run a server.' What does that mean?

Everyone, please make sure you deleted your old game. If you installed this new game without uninstalling or trashing the last WolfQuest game, you may come across some problems.

NAT connection problems are typically caused by a computer with a slower (or faster) internet connection speed than the other users trying to join a multiplayer game. If you receive a connection error while trying to start your own game, unfortunately, there’s nothing we can do to prevent connection errors from occurring.

The only thing we changed in this game was a bug with the login. So as long as you have deleted your old game, you shouldn't notice anything different with this new version. If you have already deleted your old game and installed the new one and are still having problems, please e-mail bugs@wolfquest.org with your username, password, and as many specific details as you can give as far as what error message(s) you receive.

I wish this would've gone a lot smoother, but with the forum update, this is the only way we can get the game to work.
