This is probably the absolute wrong place to ask that question, but they drive me nuts! They get down in my front yard and howl, bark and go on so that I can't sleep...does anyone else hate them as much as me???

There are a bunch of coyotes where I live and they're not all that bothersome. : /

No, but I understand your hate for them. I myself would go nuts from it too.

Wouldn't be so bad if I wasn't a light sleeper, and I probably wouldn't mind at all if they hadn't killed my cat Abigail. What can I say?

I can imagine if I had one living in my backyard where my pets play, I would feel similarly. I actually admire the coyote. It is one of the few animal species that has benefited from human encroachment. Unfortunately, animals that benefit from humans often become pests--rats, pigeons, raccoons, deer, coyotes, cockroaches.

I personally like coyotes. I like how they live, nomadic yet together as a Rout(coyote term for group/ like how wolf is in a pack).

If you watch them they can be frivolous beings, cunning and sly. Their socail behavor is interesting too... It's just interesting to me how coyotes and wolves are similar, yet different(besides size difference). Their social communication, diet(since of size difference), and behavor vary- so their fun to read about.

I have coyotes around here that like to howl, sometimes I howl back. :p

I have never seen coyotes in the wild or in a zoo, so i dont know what to think but i have seen pictures and i dont think that i would hate them, but if they kept me up i might im not sure.

There are tons of coyotes where I live, but none of them come near my farm, I htink it has to do with my dog Abagail, she drug home a coyote that she killed herself siglehandly

Lol i do i live in western mass where there r plenty of them but they r like the wolves that never ascended lol (way to much sg-1) i just dont like 'em period

Eh, I can't complain as much as I did, the wolf that lives in my back yard (my back yard is a forest ) has killed several of them. Did you know that wolves kill coyotes for sport? They don't even eat the carcass!!! They just let it sit!

Mabey they kill them off because they're compettition for food?
