Dragging leg, starving polar bear evidence of climate change

Post by Koa » Sun Dec 10, 2017 12:53 pm

Most of you have already seen this video of the starving polar bear since it's gone viral, but National Geographic has also posted a full-length article that you should read.

"'We stood there crying—filming with tears rolling down our cheeks."

Watch the video and read the full article here: https://news.nationalgeographic.com/201 ... hange-spd/

It’s worth mentioning that the article was edited last June to clarify that there was no specific evidence that that particular bear’s death was because of climate change. Here’s a recent article that explained the update and answered some questions that’s worth reading as they explained how they lost control of the narrative and what they hoped to accomplish with the vidoe: https://www.nationalgeographic.com/maga ... ear-photo/ It’s always interesting to hear the stories behind viral videos, especially ones that were extrapolated outside the photographer’s original intent.

Night is now falling, so ends this day.
The road is now calling, and I must away.
Over hill and under tree, through lands where never light has shone.
By silver streams that run down to the sea.
