The NEW Zoo in Suamico Welcomes a new Member

Post by BlackWarrior » Sat Feb 02, 2013 12:05 pm

The NEW zoo in Suamico has welcomed several new members into their park. Winnie the bear was introduced July 8th. The park also offered a unique experience with the penguins in September. But I think their newest member has brought some new excitement.
SUAMICO,Wis.- The NEW Zoo in Suamico has received a new member to its animal family. "Tamaska", a sixyear old male red wolf is ready to meet the public" a news release shows.

Tamaska comes from the Great Plains Zoo in SiouxFalls South Dakota. The wolf spend the last month in quarantine to make sure he's healthy. NEW Zoo leaders hope to mate Tamaska with a female wolf already in the zoo.

The Red Wolf is considered a critically endangered species according to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Department. The federal agency reports only 100 remain in the wild.
