Even though owls are my favourite animal, I would probably say that I'd love to study the Tasmanian Devil. I've always really like them and just a general fondness of them really. I feel like I could learn so much more about them by observing them and visiting the area in which they inhabit.

Hyenas, definitely. They have very well developed frontal cortex. The size of an animal's frontal cortex is believed to be connected to it's social intelligence, and hyenas have a frontal cortex on par with primates. Studying them, even for a day, would be totally worth it.

It would have to be some rare deep see animal that we know practically nothing about.

The snow leopard (panthera uncia) would be my choice.

They live in harsh conditions, speaking in human terms and there is so little known about them.
These gracefull cats with their thick fur and long tails have fascinated me ever since I can remember.
Besides, they share their habitat with wolves *wink*

But 'just going into the mountains, finding them and keeping them in sight to observe without them knowing' is everything but an easy task. And more than that, I would want to protect them from humans who respect the lives of these cats not as much as most of us here on WolfQuest do. It breaks my heart to know they are hunted for idiotic reasons like the beauty of their fur or 'medicinal' products.

I would choose African Wild Dogs, though there's also lots of other animals I'd be interested to study. The thing is though, I've actually studied them quite a bit online and even wrote a novel about them from my studies, so I don't know if that would defeat the purpose of actually going into the wild and seeing them act or not. I think I'd still do it, cause they're such fascinating creatures.

It depends on the fact in which season you want to study said animal. I'm not exactly a patient person, so if it was a regular day I wolud study wolves. If it was around the breeding or birthing season, it would either be platypus or kiwi birds (because both creatures are very interesting and just... gah <3).

If I could, study one animal for a day, I would need to go back in time.
The animal would be either a wooly mammoth or a saber tooth tiger. Maybe a dinosaur (preferably a Carnotaurus), I'm not decided.
Just to learn about something that's extinct would be very cool

It's a struggle between a polar bear & a platypus (a recent video I saw them has me very interested in their behavior)
