What's your favorite tree?

Post by failwolf56 » Sat Oct 08, 2011 9:32 pm

What is your favorite tree?.....

This question may seem simple, but to me trees are more than just an important part in the environment. I'm not a full-on tree hugger (although I do love hugging), I just find different tree types interesting. So, without further aduei, I'm going to say my favorite type of tree: A sugar maple. They are very pretty during the fall, and they make delicious maple syrup! You just can't beat maple syrup. :D

I tend to like the more unusual stuff, including with trees, so my favorites are the Bristlecone Pines, Baobabs, and Bonsais.

Honestly, I pretty much like any deciduous tree. Autumn is my favorite season because of the vibrant colors that deciduous trees display. =3

I can agree with that^^. Deciduous trees are very nice to look at, escpecially during the Fall. However, Coniferous trees have better smelling needles, which I love. C:

Favorite tree? It's hard to choose a favorite tree..
The cottonwoods are always fun, although allergy-irritating, when the cotton starts blowing around. Our Bur Oaks have nice black bark, but look somewhat sickly. The coniferous trees around here are pretty cool, too..
Yes, Autumn. Very pretty indeed. The trees in my yard all get yellow leaves, but down the hill, there's a few with orange/red/mixtures.

I basically like all maples. And cypress trees are cool, there's a river I like to watch, you can see them out there in the water.

I really love Arbutus Trees. ^^ usually found in the far shores of British Columbia in Canada. For those who dont know, they have red smooth skin, because their bark sheds off. Their branches stretch out and create low canopies of leaves. They also usually overhang ledges or pieces of water. Here is an image for an example:

I first saw this tree when I went on a sailing trip in B.C. The trees were found on all the island's we visited. :3

That is one wicked tree. I'd love to climb it.

I also find redwoods interesting.
