.General Marsupial Discussion.

.Facts About Marsupials.
Marsupials are pouched mammals. They are also the largest kind of any mammal. There are 336 species of marsupial. The largest group is the opossum. Most of them can be found in Australia. The largest is the red kangaroo, while the smallest being the long-tailed planingale.

So, what's your favorite marsupial? Mine is the Tassie devil, although the thylacine is a (very) close second. And why do you like marsupials? I like (no, love) them because they have pouches. Pouches are awesome (admit it!).

Yup, I see opossums everywhere. Of course, they're not my favorite marsupials. My favorite would be wallaby. They're just adorable! A close second is the koala; I love their climbing abilities.

Just found out something quit odd about Kangaroos. On my journey across the seas I was given a odd tasting meat, it was sweet, but bitter. I enjoyed it quit a bit! I was told after I finished it I ate a kangaroo. Oh my gosh I was so surprised. I stood there for five minuets and said nothing. Finally I ran to the bathroom. I came back out with an upset stomach to hear the people I was staying with tell me this is just a daily meat over in Australia like beef is in America. Needless to say I was a bit scared I didn't eat any meat for the next two week that I was there. The host where I was staying even went out and hunted kangaroo while I was there! I was horrified! But hey I guess it is true that when in hard times you can eat anything... not that they were in hard times.

Remember if you ever go to the Outback never eat meat with out finding out what it is! Because if you do more than likely you will be feasting on Jack...

  • My favorite would have to be the koala, it especially amazes me how they sleep for 18-22 hours each day!

Calico Fox its a total lie :o . Most Australians haven't even tasted kangaroo, the people you were staying with were probably joking (the host was most likely just saying that he hunts kangaroo, he probably went to the shops and bought it). And you will not most likely be feasting on KANGAROO in the outback, the main meat in Australia is beef and lamb.

My favourite marsupial is possums, they are just so CUTE :D They have the biggest ears ever
Koalas are very cute, cuddly and LAZY but you don't want to mess with a koala
experience..... :|
