Refreshing this thread with a new sighting !
I saw an owl while out biking the trails at night. Unfortunately could not guess an ID as it swooped quickly into cover with its back to me. Was exciting all the same, as the location is a highly disturbed replant forest with sparse ground cover, so little wildlife is seen there in the daytime when human traffic is higher. Other riders have also seen and even recorded owls there too, including one confirmed Barred, so nice to know they are sticking around the area.
