I love Great Greys, they are just so beautiful~

At the zoo once a keeper brought out a Burrowing and started talking about it. Ah, for such a small owl it looked so pretty. I wanted to poke it. xP But if I did, it would probably bite my finger off. The keeper said he was more aggressive than most, and apparently she was the only one who it allowed to hold him.

They are just adorable^^

That zoo there at Hersheypark, ZooAmerica, is a great zoo if you want to see some North American owls. That's where I got my pictures of Cosmo, the Barn Owl that's my avatar usually.
I'm hoping to go back again at some point. I want to get an after hours tour because apparently you have chance to hold a raptor during that, and sometimes Cosmo is one of the raptors available. <3

Now that you mention it, I think I've heard of that place before. Ah, I really want to go there! Owls are such beautiful birds.

Indeed they are^^

Random fun owl fact: if humans had eyes that were the size equivalent to that of an owl's, our eyes would be the size of oranges.

I've heard of other fruits being used in that fact as well. xD But anyways, it just goes to show that the eyes of an owl are quite an important feature if they are so large and well-developed in this manner.

^ Yes, such a beautiful heart-shape. <3

Once, at a zoo (again, I forgot it's name xD) there was this Burrowing (yes the same one I mentioned earlier) and he would always give you this "I know more than you" look. xD Such a serious face for such a funny owl!^^

Ahaha. xD I think what is also attractive about owls is how they can seem so...human-like. Just the way their eyes are positioned and such, I suppose. I think people can connect to them more because of it. Perhaps that's why owls have always been related to knowledge and wisdom too, because as you said, he was giving you a "I know more than you" look. xD

I was yelling at someone at school today, and she called me an owl. I told her that owls are sometimes used as symbols of wisdom and she glared at me and walked off. xD

Nice one. xDDD

I think I heard a Great Horned Owl while I was out at Fort Delaware on Friday night (it's actually on an island), so yesterday I brought my caller to see if I could get any responses. Didn't get anything, but I think I'll try again when I go to volunteer there again this next weekend. I'm not even sure if there would be any owls on that island, but who knows. It's more well known for herons and other wading birds.

Snowy Owls are quite pretty, and the Snowy Owl isn't the owl I would have thought of to be in Harry Potter.

Apparently there was a rise in owls as pets when the Harry Potter films came around. As awesome it would be to have my own owl, I wouldn't want to have one as a pet. I always have thought it would be cool to get into falconry though and interact with owls that way if I had the chance^^
