Beautiful pictures Lupin! ^^
My favourite would have to be the second one ; or the chickadee one. The action shot is so crisp. I must say, the Hawk one is quite beautiful as well as the first. :)

I quite like the chickadee one, it's amazing seeing their wings stretched out like that. Really nice pictures lupin!

Thanks once again everyone for the comments on the photo I submitted, I appreciate it!

Lupin, I absolutely love the photos you took! Even though you shrunk them down, they're really good quality, so never mind that. c; I also like the fact of how you managed to capture the Red-Tailed Hawk in flight. Usually when I try to do such a thing the birds are too fast...unfortunately. Thanks for sharing them. :D

Great photos, Lupin! The chickadee one I'm very impressed with because you caught its wing so well, as well as the Red-tailed Hawk in flight. They're all superb~ ;D

I suppose I'll throw one in myself, just because. Owlz.

Oh my! Kivia, that photo you took of the Barred Owl is so adorable. Generally speaking, I've always loved owls because of their amazing talents and the big, cute eyes which they have. Stunning bird and great photo.

Wow! Great photo of the Barred Owl, Kivia! The green tree it is sitting in gives it quite the character, and it is such a beautiful bird to be able to get close enough to capture. I love the angel too. ^^

Great owl shot Kivia! It's awesome that you were able to call to the owl, I have no idea what owl calls sound like. x3

If I tried, I could make the call myself, but I use a little plastic caller that makes a much louder replica. It's very nifty. =3
That picture is actually a few months old because if I went out now and tried to take pictures of the owls, probably only one would come out if I was lucky. That's the thing about birds- many are seasonal and you have to wait for certain times of the year to find them~

Hmm. I would love to have that sort of "caller". I'm sure it allows some cool experiences.
But I agree Kivia, birds are seasonal, and at certain times of the year you rarely see them at all. Here, the snow finally melted and we are just starting to see birds again. Plus the Canadian Geese are returning.

I am finding it a challenge to capture a pic of any bird recently due to lots of wind. And cool weather. Perhaps one of these days I can venture down to the pond, and if it's melted, get a good picture of some Geese. ^^"

^That's the one I have. I have another call, but it's nowhere near as loud as this one.
During the summer, it really gets the Barred Owls to come out (if there are any in the vicinity), as well as within photography distance. ;D

I have only tried calls for owls, but I'm sure there are other bird calls out there for those who may fancy other birds. They're great tools to find birds you normally wouldn't see- if anyone else has been able to photograph a bird that they've brought out with a call, then I'd love to see it! =D

Oh, I love geese~ They came through during the winter, but it didn't take them long to come back through. Must have been because of the mild winter.

This topic is pretty much the only thing I actually tend to take photos of, so I'll be sure to submit some photos Australian birds when I can. c:
