What would a wolf do if...

What happen if hunters or just regular people invaded a den and a wolf's territory? Would the wolves attack them or run away? What would they do if they had pups?

Depends on the situation. Wolves are generally defensive but unpredictable, just like any predator. The adults would likely save themselves befofe the pups if confronted with a serious situation, in general. Their reaction depends on the details of the human encounter. If they sensed danger, they may run. If they felt threatened or defensive of their territory, i.e., a dog with their human owner on the premisis, they are likely to attack.

Contrary to what many wolf fans say, wolves are not ferocious in the defence of their pups. There are numerous accounts of hunters simply pulling pups out of their dens without the parents intervening.

The bottom line is that wolves are not grizzlies.
