And thus, the endless journey to the ends of the earth began, to find a place that many questioned even existed. That was because, it didn’t exist, at least not then. When the red moon rose in the sky, it brought with it the destruction of the world as we knew it. From the ashes of mother earth, the world would renew its former glory… But only when the blood of a wolf combined with the lunar flower beneath the crimson moonlight. Then, paradise would be created…
But what one may consider a paradise, another may consider a hell.

Welcome to Lost Tranquility, a roleplay semi based on the anime Wolf’s Rain. There have been some major changes to the storyline for two reasons. First, is to keep it semi-realistic so that it may be allowed here on Wolfquest. Secondly is to keep the roleplay unique and interesting. Though, you will find it still follows the basic storyline of Wolf’s Rain. The rp is just based off the anime, and the story will be re written in our own words, as we rp a new journey in search for paradise. This thread may contain spoilers for those who have yet to see wolf’s rain. Be warned.
- The Story
The book of the Moon is banned to the human race. It says that after the end of the earth, the world will be reborn into a new land known as Paradise. It speaks of wolves, which were thought to be be extinct for nearly 200 years, Being the only ones who could find paradise, and be given a second chance to live a better life. Recently, the world had grown cold, and almost the entire planet is covered in ice and snow. Many question if this means the end of the earth. For humans, it is a threat, for wolves it is a sign. The scent of Lunar flower, the gateway to the new paradise has attracted wolves to Freeze City, the source of the scent. However, recently the source has been stolen, and with it the scent has vanished from the city, leaving behind the foul stench of human civilization. A small pack of wolves have assembled and plan to abandon the city, in search of paradise. whether or not you believe in the old legends this pack could provide you a chance of a new home and family, as well as an excuse to leave this old filthy city.
These wolves do not live an easy life. Though they have managed to fool most humans, some still know of their existence. Many people spend much of their time searching for wolves to hunt them down. As If that doesn't cause enough trouble the current leaders of the human race who are known as the nobles, also know of their existence. One in particular by the name of Lady Jaguara has managed to capture many wolves, giving them each a collar with a number of identification. These are actually radio collars, and track the wolves every move, as well as impant false memories into the wolf's mind. This helps to lead Jaguara and her troops to more wolves the tagged wolves may be in contact with. She views all wolves as a threat to her plans to open an artificial paradise, and seeks to kill them off.
To make matters even worse, another noble is competing with Jaguara to open his own paradise by the name of Lord Darcia. However, his family is cursed, giving him a wolf form he is not supposed to have. His lover suffers from paradise sickness. This sickness steals the soul of someone who dares to open paradise who doesn't belong. They become trapped in a false world and cannot return to the real world until paradise is opened. Darcia wants to be the one to open paradise to save his loved one, and could also pose a threat to the wolves trying to open paradise.
The race to open paradise is only just beginning. Only one will succeed in bringing the new world upon the earth. Who will be the chosen one?

Alpha The alpha pair consists of two wolves. They generally make the decisions for the pack, as well as the rules which the pack must follow. They make sure their followers are safe along the journey to paradise. Generally, these wolves will be kept busy planning for the packs next move. They are in charge of planning out the safest route for the group to follow until they reach their next destination.

Sub Alpha
Two wolves work together directly under the rule of the alphas. They help with important tasks and decisions that are made. Generally, these wolves supervise the rest of the pack and make sure everyone is counted for before and after major events the pack must face. Because the alphas are often busy, the subs will often be the ones to step in if there is trouble or someone is misbehaving.

Beta
While the alphas and sub alphas are busy planning and defending the pack from danger, a small group of wolves are needed to supervise smaller issues within the pack. These wolves are entrusted to make sure disputes among members stays at a minimum. They are problem solvers, usually very good at keeping peace among the ranks.

HuntersThese wolves provide food for the pack among the journey. Whenever the pack stops to rest, these wolves will head out in search for prey, to ensure the rest of the pack is well fed, especially the youth and elders. It is important to keep the pack fed, or else many members would suffer along the long journey that awaits them.

Sitters
These wolves are in charge or taking care of the pups while their parents are away or unable to care for them. They are usually calm, collected, and caring, and are able to work well with the younger generations.

Healers
Healers are intelligent wolves that know a lot about plants and herbs. They know what herbs and harm wolves, and which can help them. They care for the sick and wounded, and make sure they stay safe along the journey. They are often known to bring miracles to some wolves, who think they have lost all chances at life, but survive under the healers care.

Protectors
WarriorsIf the pack comes into danger during travel or during rest, these wolves are always on the lookout and prepared for battle. They put their life on the line to protect the rest of the pack. This groups consists of both fighters and guards, and will often take on different duties depending on what is needed at the time. They are very flexible and willing to protect the pack at all costs.

Scouts
Scouts will often go ahead of the pack, in search for the safest areas to rest along their journey. They explore which areas are safe, and which are dangerous, and report back to the higher rankings so they may plan the safest route to take the pack. Also, if food is scarce, they may report if they find any carcasses to scavenge or a nearby elk heard, or anything else they happen to find.

Spys
Spys are silent and reserved wolves. They are good at not being seen, heard, or acknowledged. Their duty within the pack includes heading right towards the danger. Though, being good at staying out of sight and not being detected they often do not get themselves into trouble, instead observe whats going on around the area. Anything they find out they report back to higher ranking wolves.

EldersThe pack elders have served their time in the pack and now have a chance to rest within their old age and let the rest of the pack handle things, they are over the age of 7 years. They often tell stories to the younger wolves, about the times when they where their age. They are usually wise, and are good to come to when someone needs advice.

These are the new wolves in the pack between the ages of 2 years and 7 years old. They are on trial for one week, so the higher wolves can observe their actions within the pack to make sure they are a good fit before gaining a promotion. They basically do any job that needs to be done within the pack and have no specific duties.

Yearlings
These wolves are between the ages of 10 months and 2 years. They are training for a higher rank within the pack, and are given a mentor for their chosen rank so they may learn the skills necessary for that rank. While they have matured slightly since pup hood, they still have a lot to learn before gaining a new rank.

These are the wolves under the age of 10 months. They are watched by either their parents or the pup sitters. They are too young to do much work within the pack, though may observe older wolves and learn about the different trades available within the pack. Most of their time is spend playing around with others their age.
