I'm making a pack and I have a few questions.

1.
If I make a website for my pack do wolf quest rules have to be present there. Like if I permitted people having mates on there would that break any rules here even if I kept that information off wolf quest?

2.
About the "No roleplaying in pack thread rule." I really don't understand it. Where is my pack supposed to roleplay if it's not in the thread created for it? I'm talking about having a thread just for the pack members and not others. I find this rule a bit unnecessary, but I suppose you have reasons.

  • 1. Your pack can have whatever rules you want on its own website, though if it breaks the WQ rules (such as the mates example you brought up), it needs to be kept off the WQ thread.
    2. Your pack can roleplay on its own website, the WolfQuest Roleplay Thread, or on the game itself. This rule is in place because previously roleplay has not been allowed anywhere on the forums (more info on that here), and although that changed when the roleplay thread was posted, that thread is still the only place it is allowed on the forums.

Ok then, thanks so much!
  • Edit
Another question; in the rules for my pack, is it ok to have examples of roleplay to explain what power playing is?

Short examples to show what power playing is would be fine imo, it's when your pack's introduction (for example) is made like a roleplay post or when people actually roleplay on the thread that it becomes a problem. There's a more thorough response regarding the "using roleplay to introduce your pack" part here as well if that would help clear anything up.

Ok! Thanks. Also sorry about the double posting thing I'm still getting used to the rules here.

Pale, you could alternatively make an extended rules section on your pack's website, in order to avoid cluttering the pack thread too much.

Are pups allowed so long as no mates are mentioned?

Pups without mention of mates are fine.

just a quick question before I advertise my pack, I noticed there's a rule listed that has me a bit confused;
- Religious content (including Bora Bora, spirits, legends, and other religious beliefs or aspects)

I made up a religious lore for the pack, it's not an actual religion as it is fantasy and it's the foundation of the pack itself. Does this go against those rules? I don't want to offend anybody and it's not focused on a 'real life' religion so.

This would still fall under the guideline you have quoted, as any type of religion/legends/etc. references are not permitted. So, even if it is made up, anything playing off as 'religious' won't be accepted. If you still feel unsure, then you're more than welcome to contact myself or moderator to look over the content to see if it would be accepted or not. I hope this helps with your query! :]

I'm thinking of starting a pack of my own soon, and I was wondering something: I know that coywolves (coyote/wolf crosses) are allowed within reason as previously mentioned in this thread, but are other such crosses allowed? I don't mean things like fox/wolf crosses, of course, since those are impossible, but are things like wolfdogs allowed? I know that dogs themselves are not allowed, but is it a different matter if they're a wolf cross?

Are we allowed to make multiple packs?

So sorry for the late reply - as long as it's still within reason and is actually possible, crosses in general should be fine. Looks like you've already found that out though since your pack is already going, heh.

Yes, you can make as many packs as you want.
