Best wolf/werewolf books you've read?
After reading the Shiver trilogy by Maggie Stiefvater, which was one of the reasons that got me back into WolfQuest, I couldn't stop reading wolf related books. If you haven't read this series, I HIGHLY suggest you do. Its a great series.
So anyways, whats your favorite wolf related book? Maybe give a short preview on what it is about? (:

I have heard of Wolves of the Beyond before. I'm starting to read Cry Wolf (Alpha & Omega Novel #1) and Bitten (Women of the Other World #1). Cry Wolf seems to be a little more on the fantasy side, so far, and a little far fetched. While Bitten seems to be at a even pace and on more 'realistic' terms (despite it being a werewolf book).Katemarie123 wrote:I have read some of the wolves of the beyond and I really liked it.Sorry that my comment was short but I am a wolf lover and I will try out that book.
I don't know enough about each book to say enough about it...I took a break from reading it and will probably start back up when school starts.

I am reading Wolves of the Beyond right now. I've read all the books except the last one, because it's never at my library! Actually, those books are the reason I play WolfQuest, I heard about it from the author Kathryn Lasky's website because she said she played this game to research for her wolf books.Myarru wrote:After reading the Shiver trilogy by Maggie Stiefvater, which was one of the reasons that got me back into WolfQuest, I couldn't stop reading wolf related books. Oh, anyway these books are about an abandoned wolf pup who was raised by a grizzly bear. It's really good.

I read both Shiver and Wolves of the Beyond. Both were very good books. I also liked the classic ones like White Fang and Call of the Wild.

I've read all 3 of the Wolves Of Mercy Falls books by Maggie Stiefvater, and I enjoyed them. I'm not particularly interested in reading any more wolf books, though.

Shiver, Linger and Forever - a trilogy by Maggie Stiefvater. I read it last summer.
Here's what it's about:
http://maggiestiefvater.com/the-shiver-trilogy/
I've enjoyed the books although the style is a little different from the other fantasy books I've read. As much as I can remember, the books are more focused on the character's emotions than on the actual story.
There are more wolves and werewolves on TV shows that I know about :P

- Oh gosh, the only werewolf book I have ever read is the Goosebumps one about that boy who find a "lost dog". That might be a bad thing.
Oh wait: Twilight...
I like looking at the annual Werewolf Calendars made on DA though, by various artists. But they aren't technically books.
I read various wolf comics on DA, but hardly any of them are completed. And sometimes its only for lulz reasons. Not that I can talk, because I would never be able to sit down and make a comic!

Same, I'm mainly reading Off-White for the lulz right now. It has fantastic art, but the plot is really predictable.Tonbei wrote:

I'm fairly sure that it will have to do with the ending of the world. XD

Re: Best wolf/werewolf books you've read?
I don't read the books, but I only read history books and manga. The history not found in writings of the wolves.. I know one manga-series who shows/tell about white wolf's story. It name is "Fang" by Yoshihiro Takahashi (who invented the Ginga-series).
I just have this frist finnish version.
Another manga which I own is "Kuinka susi kesytetään?" (It's means "How to tame a wolf?). And although this name is similar to wolves, wolf will not tell you.. I don't know is this manga-serie published in english version.

Re: Best wolf/werewolf books you've read?
Oh, I have read so many, I will give you the few that come to mind
Wolves of the Beyond- by Kathryn Lasky
Summer of the Wolves- by Polly Carlson-Voiles (person POV)
The Dog with Golden Eyes-by Frances Wilbur (more little kiddish)
And one I found on my nook and I am in the middle of
Wolf Quest- by Dalanie Beach (Just like RP in a book but so much better)

I howl, my howl fills the starry sky, but as I view the velvety splendor, I yearn to be more. More than my howl. But I am not.

There's a ton, especially in Wattpad.
Though, one specifically is Rejected and Pregnant With Alphas Baby. It's a pretty good book; a few cursing and descriptions parts of rated R but still good.
