I find either people love or hate Jack London`s books. I love them. White Fang was supposed to be a sequel to Call of the Wild. If you read closely, Jack decribes Buck in The Call of the Wild as having a red hue to his coat, which he also describes in White Fang`s mother (who is part dog/ wolf). coincidence? I think not

I`m guessing Jack re thought the idea, and then just made white fang a diffrent book apart from call of the wild. it would be hard to tell, considering how many dogs are in those books.

I wonder if Jack London thought himself as white fang or as one of the weaker dogs...metaphorically speaking....

PIKE!!! Random thought. I think I liked Pike... he was the dog who stole stuff, right? Which book was he in, anyway? Maybe I should re-read these things...

I finished reading Call of the Wild for the 5th time last night..lol. Good book, but I'm also a bit bothered by how much the dogs are abused.

And why are we all talking about White Fang when this topic is for Call of the Wild?

Edit : Woah..I just noticed how old this topic is..sorry about bumping it!

Call of the Wild and White Fang are Jack London`s most prized novels. Its amazing to think that two stories about wolves/dogs managed to outsell all his other stories about human beings.funny.

Heh,probably because so many people love animals. And maybe throw in some animal haters there for some reason.
