One man's 1,000-mile mission to save a Washington wolf pack

When Matthew Simmons heard that the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife was moving forward with plans to kill an entire wolf pack after repeated attacks on livestock, he was incensed.

Simmons, who runs an animal rescue center in California that specializes in wolves . . . booked a flight to Washington on Tuesday in hopes of stopping the state from taking lethal action against the Profanity Peak pack.

i understand why the pack was supposed to be killed but it's pretty awesome that Simmons has that much passion for saving and relocating the pack. i hope all works out well.
