If it was a wild wolf, I wouldn't even go near it. I doubt I could get to it, either. As for a domesticated wolf, most likely the answer would still be no. Even when domesticated, animals can be unpredictable.

A captive wolf ("pet" is somewhat too lax and misleading of a term that implies domestication) will never be truly "domesticated" (although some might claim its a possiblity, the term "domestication" is something only suitable for dogs, cats, cattle, etc. that seen generations of human contact and interactions, not a few years for the lifespan of a wolf). I know what you mean but the term is misleading for use when regarding wolves.

That aside, I would never hug a wolf, wild or remotely "comfortable" with a human's presence.

Ah, thanks for that correction, Koa. I'll keep that in mind next time and try to use the proper terms. I was unaware the term was misleading, although now that you mentioned it, it does make a lot of sense as to why is it.
Anyways, my post may have pretty much said my point, but agreed. Captive, wild, or comfortable with humans, I wouldn't hug a wolf. Even though some may view it as fun, as I previously said, captive or not, wolves are unpredictable.
