i've seen grey wolves once at a conservation center. i think the craziest thing for me was how big they were; i've always kinda pictured them in my mind as being the same size as a large dog. it was a great experience though, i'd definitely go again some day. :)

I went to a Zoo and I got to see loads of animals, and WOLFS!! and there where pups too, they where sisters :D

and there is this program they have, and you can pay to:
>Pet and learn about wolf's
>get a pic with a beaver. and pet it
>get to feed and take lots of pics with the big cats (tigers, lions, panthers etc.
>get to do tricks with a bear (at least that's what I thought, my mom got to pet baby cubs. SHE LOVED IT!)
and you get to do much more.

(do not do this!!)
if you wanted, you could hop over a fence and maybe if you where a brave & stupid soul. you could pet an ALEGATOR!!

and also you can feed monkeys!

any way. I am just saying it was awesome to pet Pups!

AND I MEAN THE WOLF PUPS!!! YAY!

and, I think I will go there next year :)
ITS GOING TO BE OKAY!!!!!

I've seen many in conservation centres. The last one I went to I saw 'feeding time'. As in the centre they don't feed them everyday to try keep their natural instincts more prominent and they change the days each week, the food type rotated etc the wolves never know what to expect. I saw a few of them eating but some good the food and ran off into the corner. One wolf was playing about with its food which was rather amusing!

Nope, never, though I did get fairly close to one, but not enough to actually see, or hear it.
Last summer I visited Crater Lake, and turns out a wolf named Journey (also known as OR-7) who had traveled very long distances through Oregon and California to find a mate was currently living near Crater Lake with his new pack called the Rogue pack.
In the Crater Lake gift shop there was OR-7 plushies and of course I had to buy one, being a stuffed animal collector and all. I still have it.

This summer i went to Yellowstone national park and saw 755M of the wapiti lake pack, he was crossing through a cluster of trees by the log-railed pullout in Hayden valley to go hunting for his mate and pups. we followed him up the hill and I got a pretty good view of him heading out to the west. Wolf watching out in Yellowstone is the best experience i have ever had. I met some fantastic people and learned a lot about the individual packs.

I was lucky enough to fulfill a dream and see a wild wolf in Yellowstone a few years ago. It was my only trip to Yellowstone, and she was really far away, but oh man she was pretty! She was pure white <3 I would post a picture, but she was so far away that my camera couldn't zoom in well enough- you can just see this white dot with vaguely ear-like shapes, which is her head poking up over the grass XD
But I've also seen a lot of wolves in captivity. There's a cool wolf center near where I live where they actually let you interact with the wolves! (I think they're part dog, though, not pure wolves- basically the center is devoted to dispelling myths about wolves being evil/killers and such, so they're not as much into showing natural wolf behavior as many centers. Still really cool though!) But I've been to several more normal wolf centers, too, and it's always really neat to see the wolves just being themselves and interacting with each other!

Dude, so we finally have a wolf pack in CA! Sadly they're many hours north of me... :P

I live in Indiana but there was one time I saw what looked like a wolf to me. It was huge and grey, not brown like a coyote. It was standing at the entrance to the woods by my house. It didn't look like a husky either, It really did look like a wolf. Me and my friends used to call those woods the magic woods, because one time a herd of deer (Literally like 30 deer) ran right past us.

This sounds a lot like my grandmothers house and woods. She had like 200 acres of wooded land and all my cousins and me use to play in the. We found deer and foxes and floods of birds while playing. And it was even more magical at night because we could look outside and sometimes see bears and raccoons. I know I never saw a wolf at night or during the day there but she has pictures of where she caught a few around the woods. Heck ones even in her backyard.

Probably not as exciting as seeing them in the wild as some of you have, but I visited an animal sanctuary, and there was one gray wolf as well as several wolf hybrids there. :-) It was very cool, I had never realized how huge they could get until I saw the one in person at the rescue.

At the Wolf Sanctuary near Colorado Springs, my mom took me to walk a wolf. His name was Keyni. It was so cool! When your 18, you can go into the enclosure.
