Some one in my family used to have a wolf dog well had two they were white too. They were nice until the female had pups then she got very aggressive thank you for posting I loved your thread.

Personal experiance with training these great creatures says no disciplined is the best. Odd right? No, in a wolf pack a pup is held on the highest pedestal. Therefore no one dares to discipline them. Even with words it can mess the pup up. Learned that the hard why. I got bit twice, and an animal expert explained the when I raised my voice the pup thought of it as a threatm like, growl or a bark.
Also when getting a hybrid you must take it from it's mother at least three days old and at max on week. If it opens it eyes and sees it's mother and then you come and take it you will have a creature on your hands that will never ever ever trust you! You must give all your time to this pup if you get it. The more time spent with it the more likely you will have a best friend for ever! If you spend little time with your pup you will have a animal that doesn't know you very well and will not trust you. And that is the worst thing to have, a part-wolf that doesn't trust you.
Also always remember if you ever get one and you raise them right you will have a best friend for life and no one will be able to separate you two! A hybrid is a great animal, but if don't have the drive and time than you should not get one at all! Please heed my warnings I have worked with these animals and there can be dangerous! I love wolves to death please understand even your dog is dangerous but a dog bite will do alot less to you compared to a wolf bite! Their jaws are much stronger! Anyways good luck if you get one! Have fun with it but always be a good master!

I'm thinking about getting one when I move out. Definitely low-mid content for my first one. I've done research, and even though they require lots of care, it seems interesting to own one of these creatures.

river6 they are amazing creatures own and they don't need that much care because sometimes they even hunt for themselves!

I'm not going to tell you how wrong you are.
I've done tons of research about these animals. They are good companions, but they need A LOT of care. They are expensive and fairly hard to train. You have to keep them outside in a fence that is over 8 feet tall (stated in this thread here, if I recall correctly), and it has to be metal. You most certainly don't let them run free to "hunt."

by hunt I met rabbits ad rodents it chases deer to caught one oh yeah we have a fence but he stays inside sometimes and sometimes we let him into the woods

I have a friend who owns five wolfdogs, and they are not very friendly at all. When I come over, they have to lock the dogs in their kennels because they're not good with anyone outside of that family. I understand that this behavior could be caused by a lack of training, and I think that's exactly the case. I would think this just goes to show that they need to be socialized with lots of different people as pups.

Not sure if I would ever be that responsible to care for a wolfdog that well. I may not have the approval, but I know for sure in the state I live in currently, they are either forbidden or you'll need a permit to take in one of these creatures. It's a very good guide, took a lot of time and effort to progress and assist everyone with such a genuine style and comfort of information. c:

I believe that wolves and wolf-dogs are the type of animal that shouldn't be somebody's pet. Dogs have been bred down for thousands of years to get to the point where they are now. Wolves are wild animals, not something to show off to your friends, only to get rid of them when they start becoming trouble. Wolves and wolf-dogs for educational purposes? Yes. As your lap-dog? The laborador you saw at the shelter will do a better job at that.

I don't have the time, resources, or training to care for a wolfdog properly, but if I could, I'd probably only have a low-content.
