I've been looking into wolf internships lately. I'm only fifteen, though, so there really aren't any options (as far as I know).
However, I did find some internship-thingies with Yellowstone National Park that are available for those over fifteen, so I'm thinking I'll use the opportunity (assuming I get in) to learn what I can by being in close proximity to them. The program itself sounds pretty awesome, and I'm sure some of you would love it.
Thank you, Pawnee, for sharing this with us! :D

I would love to do this! I wonder if any will accept people who want to be vets, though (my lifelong goal).

I actually plan to do that when i'm older it sounds amazing to work with amazing creatures especially wolves.

There may be similar opportunities where you might live, though perhaps structured or set up differently. Wolves are abundant in many different countries across the world, so do some poking around. You might find something closer to you. :)

I know this topic hasn't been posted in a while but I thought I would share this:

here are some opportunities for those who meet the age and academic requirements. You can always look through and see that opportunities are available should you choose to participate in internships one day. This website is made up of internships, volunteer and work/school opportunities as well.

Also here is one from the Wildlife Society about internships specifically

The International Wolf Center is offering a course titled "Wolf Ethology" if anyone is interested; while it isn't an internship, it may certainly help anyone in the area who is interested in pursuing an internship down the road when they attend college. Or, perhaps, it may help you further flesh out your career interests and help decide whether or not this is something that interests you.
This course covers the basic principles of wolf behavior including: behavioral development, stimuli and communication, motivation, learned versus instinctual behavior, social organization, and the adaptability and evolution of behavior. Emphasis will be placed on video observations of wild wolf behavior, research of existing ethograms and hands-on activities including time spent observing and recording behavioral data of the Center’s ambassador wolves.

Since there have been quite a few different wolf internships (and some courses) listed here and the fact that such opportunities exist, I am curious as to whether anyone here has actually embarked on one of the listed internships? Or perhaps have been involved with other wolf-related internships that have not been mentioned here or general animal internships that have included wolves? I would be interested in hearing some experiences if anyone has, not that I plan on doing anything of the sort; it's simply out of curiousity (and to get some discussion going).
