Can I just run around, or do you have to complete missions?

While there are missions to complete in the single player game, you are able to remain in each level as long as you want, running around the game world, hunting small animals, and enjoying the wilderness. However, moving on to the next level will unlock more activities and experiences in the life of a wolf.
