So, I am not sure if it's just me or not, and it's rather unimportant, but, I've noticed while running around in SP in Lost River your mate's paws don't make a different noise on concrete like my wolf does.

Good catch! I just fixed that, will be in the next patch.

* Game hangs if host quits game while player has Pause, Pack Stats, or Game Settings windows open.
* Male and female wolves are same size in multiplayer customization.

These are some great updates, and I definitely think that they will all be very beneficial to the gameplay. :)

We've released patch 2.7.3p6 -- it's out on all platforms now.

This patch has a significant improvement to the file sync function, and a number of smaller fixes and improvements.

* New and improved file sync system for syncing saved wolf and game files across multiple platforms. Generally the "Sync All Files" is the best option, as it is smartest about detecting the latest version of each wolf and game file and updating both your device and the server with that version. But in certain situations, the Push or Pull options may suit your needs better. Read the explanations of each button before clicking.
* Fixed bug that could cause incorrect pup death in multiplayer games, when standing near river's edge.
* Made the "playbow" whine audio louder.
* Modified the biting sound effect to be more like in old game.

Interesting. Glad to see the biting sound effect has been changed to the legacy one.

I really really appreciate that the bite sound was changed. I found the musical sting very jarring. Looking good!

Yeah, I guess not all my ideas are good ones. Sigh.

I liked it, though I can see how it could get repetitive. How about having a bunch of chords and every time you bite something it picks one at random? Then you make music every time you hunt!

Or something.

I dunno, it may not be the greatest idea.

I'm really glad the sound changed, it just didn't seem as natural as what was recently added. It sounded like a wolf kept scratching at a guitar.

Rolling out patch 2.7.3p7

UPDATE: We got a couple reports from a couple new players about a major problem with this build. So far it only seems to affect players who just started with the game after this patch was released. So we've reverted to the previous version until we get that fixed -- hopefully tomorrow. Sorry about that!
______

[strike]We've released this patch on Steam [/strike] We will soon release this patch on Steam and then will be rolling it out on other versions/platforms in the next few days.

This patch has one new feature -- players can rename existing wolves -- and several minor fixes. A few players have had problems since the last update with their wolves being renamed "Wolf." We could not reproduce this problem, so decided to add the new renaming feature to let players fix that problem themselves, while also giving everyone a much-requested feature.

Fixes and Improvements:

* Players can now rename their wolves. Go to the Modify Your Wolf panel (in New Game-Amethyst), change the name, then click Save Changes. The new name will appear in all saved games with that wolf.
* Fixed bug with Limpy's tail tuck animation.
* Adding timer to prevent spamming the Report buttons.

I was just thinking about that, today! Thanks for the update. I'll keep it in mind.

EDIT: I was just testing it out, and I'm not sure if I've done something wrong, but I can't really...do it? I went to "New Game," selected "Modify," and it didn't have any way for me to change Akhem's name. Did I miss a step?
Maybe you can point me in the right direction? http://imgur.com/a/AvP3x

Thanks for reading.

You don't have the patch yet. It's out on Steam only so far; other versions/platforms coming in the next few days.
