Unfortunately, this is a fairly common site now. I once saw a woman on TV who was obsessed with pink and had dyed her poodle pink.

However interesting it might look, I would never do this, for two reasons.

1. It could hurt them and give them serious illnesses, possibly even kill them!

2. I personally believe they look better in their natural state.

I do think that dyeing your dog is sort of funny but like the native americans if its made by natural things then its safe someday I want to put native american symbols on my horse with this 100% safe animal dye.

And the next thing we know is that they decided to paint their dog's nail hot pink.
I feel sorry for the poodles (and other breeds), as much I dislike 'dem poodles they truly shouldn't be dyed in unnatural colors like a doll.

I actually find the idea of dying your dog creative.

I don't like it at all and the dogs don't like it, too! I've seen this blue dog before.

I have seen tons of dogs being dyed different colors a couple weeks ago at a fair. It was quite ridiculous, and I felt really bad for the dogs. One dog that caught my eye was a large Chow who looked like a panda. He was covered head to toe in white and black dye. You couldn't even tell the dog was actually brown anymore since he was fully covered, even close to his eyes. We left the fair after that, but I didn't feel very good seeing all those dyed dogs.

Most likely I believe that they use the party spray paint on the dogs for some parts. Dyed or sprayed I'm just mainly concerned about the chemicals that are going on the dog itself. Most of this leads to stupidity anyways.

To me, its just striaght out wrong. The panda one is especailly scary, I showed my brother and he made a face that scared even me. Its weird, i know its kinda cool (not really) but I agree with the other people, it could be harmful :( poor doggies, I bet now he thinks hes a panda :( ( )

Wow, that is just ridiculous. I've heard of (and seen) dyed chicks, but dogs??? That is just inhumane. No animal should be dyed a different color, they are far more beautiful with their natural looks. Do those people even consider the animal's health and needs at all? It's simply ridiculous! (Sorry for repetition, it's just it's all I can think of, other than things that probably shouldn't be posted here.)

I don't agree with this at all. While I will admit that some of the dyed dogs do look pretty, if it is hazardous to the animal's health, then it should definitely not be done. Besides, dogs (and other animals) look better and more natural undyed.

It looks weird, and very stupid. There should be laws against this.

Well- said. I cannot STAND it when people dress up their dogs. >->

It's not even attractive to me. :| I've seen some programs that have mentioned the competitions, but I believe in those cases they use food coloring. Now, the professional cuts and dyes are kind of intriguing, but if it causes any harm to the dog, it should not be done. But again, I think they use food coloring.

I also saw an episode of The Dog Whisperer where he had to go to this woman's house--and the woman was OBSESSED with pink. Everything was pink---including her dog. :| Poor Caesar--I wonder what he thinks about having to work with stupid people like that....
