Howling Acres Wolf Sanctuary in danger of closing

Hello fellow wolf lovers,

I am here to tell you about the dwindling state of the mom-and-pop Howling Acres Wolf Sanctuary, located in Williams, Oregon.

As the website details, the sanctuary is in danger of closing. Due to harsh economic and health conditions, long-time owners Sherrie and Charlie are unable to keep this open to the public for much longer. To add to the situation, their house has been set to auction in July. I am currently working on getting more details.

As for the sanctuary, I personally have visited and donated multiple times after meeting the wolves and their owners. I urge all of you who wish to make a difference to donate, visit, or contact Howling Acres.

If Howling Acres cannot be sustained as is, I will personally be making it a future priority to a) ensure the retirement of Sherrie and Charlie, b) re-open, and c) keep the community of wolf protection and education alive. If you are in the same position as I am of not being able to currently solve all every problem, but wish to be involved in the future, please reply to this post with your contact information, who you are, what you wish to do, and what you can do.
