Post by Jetness » Sun Feb 22, 2009 8:36 am

I am in the RSPB kids (wildlife explorers) in England. and this year they are raising money for the Sumatran animals that are in danger.

Please look at this video made by the RSPB: (don't worry, it is sutable for everyone)

Some of the animals:

Sumatran tiger ~ Only 300 left in the world

Agile gibbon ~ lives in the trees that are getting chopped

Rhino hornbill ~ nests in the trees that are getting chopped

Sun Bear ~ the worlds smallest bear is in danger

So please go to the RSPB website and donate, i have, i hope you will. :D

Heres the link to the website:

Thankyou for your time :D

(RSPB stands for Royal Society for the Protection of Birds, but they protect other animals too.

I remember reading an article that said Sumatran Tigers are now believed to be the same species as the Siberian Tiger. If this is true, the Sumatran tiger would not go extinct, except for in that region. They believe that a few tigers somehow got into that region, and then over the years became an established population. The genetic difference between the two is almost nothing; they're nearly identical genetically.
