Help Stop Gobal Warming

I'm sorry if this is bumping a dead topic, but I didn't mean to.

-Turn your heat up 2 degrees in the summer, and down 2 in the winter, and you will save 2,000 pounds of carbon dioxide.
- Don't waste! it's that simple; if you have bread crusts that you didn't eat, just throw it outside for birds!
- Reuse! Reduce! Recycle! Simple!

Our problem is we talk about doing these things; we just don't. we need to actually do it!

I think that,as Al Gore said,we have what we need to stop global warming,but we don't work on it.We just stay there saying "Oh,forget it,scientests will fix it"or worst,we just don't believe on it and we stay there doing absolutely nothing.
I heard once In the newspaper of my country(Costa Rica)that almost 77% of Americans don't believe in Global Warming,this,for me,is terrible.

We all have to work to save the planet,here are my ideas:
-Eat less meat
-Reduce-Reuse-Recycle!
-Plant trees-lots of trees.
-Ask the goverment to do more to help the planet,send them cards,and cards,and if they don't reply,then keep sending them cards!!!
-If you can,buy a hybrid!!!
-Save Water!!!!
-Save Electricity!!!
-Being a kid won't stop you from helping the planet!!!What you do in the present will help you(and others)in the future!!!
-Is there a company that wants to start to burn fossil fuel near where you live?Send cards telling them to stop!Gather your friends and make a protest in the street!Talk to the major,the president,your school principal to stop this!
-Garbage goes in the garbage can!!
Just do what you can to save the planet and what lives in it,Earth is our only home,if we kill it we will have nowhere to go!
And one more thing:Don't only think in yourself,think in youre children,your granchildren,think in the next generation,do you really want to leave them in a horrible,contaminated land?

From where I am, people don't seem to care. I have reused the recycling trash bag for a few weeks till it gets weak, then I replace it instead of replacing it every week. (Sorry I have no picture, I will change that later. )Is Global Warming real, after last summer's and this summer's heat, it is very easy to say yes. Please don't forget to recycle at school, that includes the can of soda in your fridge.

At my home, we bought a wood burning insert to save oil and to generate heat... we also recycle and have a compost pile

global warming cannot be stopped. we didn't even cause it in the first place. ever wonder what melted the ice age?

but it is good that you're taking care of the environment. most people don't even care. :/

But it would help if you pick up cans and stuff and recycle.

I dont leave the water on when i brush my teeth.. and in my house, we have a saying for the bathroom... "if its yellow let it mellow, its its brown flush it down." ^^

I reused water bottles and fill them with tap water, turn off lights, etc. I also use a laptop that charges while it's turned off.

Make sure you dont refill plastic bottles.. That can give you cancer. Try and use other water bottles... Those also should be recycled

I've never heard of Global Warming being real. The world heats an cools.
EDIT: I heard some one saying that the Ice Age was melted down because Global Warming. How can that be? Because Global means the whole world and the Ice Age was only part of North America I think...But I may be wrong. Anyways there's been many Ice Ages. It's a heating and cooling system. No Global Warming.
I'm not starting a fight. If you have anything against what I've said keep it too your self please, or I'll ignore it.
It's goo to maintain the earth though. And save resources. I have lots of things I could talk about this, but WQ Mods wouldn't allow it. :^D.
Another Edit: I've heard somewhere that recycling can be bad. (An expert said it.)
And I've heard people saying ride a bike instead of driving a car. Um, what if it's too far to ride a bike? And what if you don't have one or don't know how to ride on? Do not laugh about this...I'll admit it: I don't know how to ride a bike. I just run.

Of course there is global warming...

Hmm besides the fact that there are many topics about helping global warming along with discussions; global warming can't be stopped since it is a natural thing (but we are the ones that are accelerating the natural process), what we can do is trying to improve it by some of the measures people suggest in this topic and category (Take Action). But really, we get nothing if we suggest ways to help but not even the person that suggest the idea puts it into practice.

I have already suggested a lot of way for helping the environment you might found around. I hope you guys help too for improving this actual problem that for some people is just a fashion.

Personally, I don't believe in global warming. Besides the fact that the melting and cooling of our earth is a natural process, there are quite a few things which offer evidence against it. But I don't want to get too political about it.


However, I see nothing wrong with taking care of the environment in order to maintain forests, wildlife, etc.

recycle
ride your bike if u can
plant plants such as trees and flowers
