This is a "trial," so I think we want to keep it simple and forum-related for now. If it were to be extended to signatures, I suppose only those within the approved group would be allowed to have images in their signature. If possible, I believe that would be the best way to monitor signature image usage. Let's see how this goes, first.

It can happen, even with the method we're using now, but we trust that the users we've approved in this new usergroup will not do that.

I'll take a look at what's possible. No guarantees though.

With that in mind, if signatures were to allow images, it would certainly be something we'd have to discuss. So, I don't foresee such a feature occurring in the near future. ^_-

You must have been a registered member for at least a month and have been active enough on the forums to be considered for image permissions.

Why can't we add pictures in our signature.

Pictures in signatures are harder to control. We can see images in posts quicker, obviously you see the most recent posts near the top. So, you can find the most recent activity. As well, they want to prevent the stretching of the forums as much as possible. Where I think when you post an image, the forums automatically control the max width.

Those are most likely the plausible reasons.

Yes. If the pictures are offensive in signatures as well and require immediate removal, it would need to be manually removed by an admin. There are more moderators than there are administrators, so it makes sense that we have a wider range we can cover in terms of content that is accessible to us.

Agreed; even if it doesn't expand, I think the options provided are reasonable enough for everyone to be happy with them in some way, shape, or form.
