When posting, just make sure you are not spamming. Include relative and interesting information in your comments and posts; this is sometimes missing when people are trying to raise their post count. Post because you want to, not because you just want to raise your post count.

I see this happen in the wolf Q&A often, too...

Anyway, thanks for posting! I am starting to see results already. Topics are more on topic in general! But I see that people are reminding other users that they are spamming, rather than reporting the posts. Of course, I would do that, too, if they were newbies.

It is indeed better to report it rather than posting it; that's usually where we come in to remind people; it works better that way. So, if you see a lot of repetition of answers or (constant) SPAM in general, please report it to us.

Thanks for posting, Koa! I will avoid repeating answers, it's annoying anyways. ^_-
I'm watching other users to this every day, though. Mostly on questions that are easy to answer, so everyone goes and repeats the answer over and over..

But I do have a question. If we see a user doing this, should we kindly suggest him/her to read this thread, report the post, or do nothing and leave it to a moderator?

I believe you may, just be very polite and do not act like a backseat moderator. (since often when users are correcting others, this can happen) Also, kindly guide them to the topic posted by including the topic link in your post.

So if we see members spamming we report them with ! mark in the right corner. Also before i forget does using smilies or any ^%# symbols count as words or not. I will just make sure i have more then four words in my posts.

No, smiles nor simbols don't count as words as far as I know.

Too many symbols/smilies can be considered spam. Words are words. It is recommended that your posts are at least a sentence in length, but that's not the minimum.

Definition of SPAM:
SPAM= Stupid, Pointless, Annoying Messages. Listed below are our definitions of "SPAM":
•Off-topic posts- any post that is either irrelevant to the forum or topic
•Intentional post-count-raising- replying to questions that have already been answered and repeating the answer, or just posting nonsense that has nothing to do with that forum or discussion.
•One-word replies- actually, this includes any posts with three words or less. If you can reply with three words or less, it's probably not worth saying.
•Personal topics- anything not directed to all forum members (unless it’s in a pack topic) should be sent using private messages or e-mails.
•Offers for solicitations/services
•Double-posting- please edit previous posts instead of posting more than once.
•Non-normal writing- Text speak (ex- btw I g2g), SHOUTING, or using excessive numbers of: smileys, font colors, or punctuation (ex- !!??!??!?!) may all be considered SPAM
